I’d forgotten that Dave McKay was with the Dbacks. He still looks to be in pretty good shape.

AZ has to push one of these runners across in this 7th inning.

Ripping on 3-0 with the bases jammed up.

AZ just can’t get that clutch base hit, but does score a run on the bases jammed BB.

They got one there. Two run tater from Thomas ties it up 5-5.

Moreno puts AZ ahead with an RBI base hit. These two LCS could get real interesting. 6-5 Dbacks.

Wow, I had to step away from the TV. What a finish!

Haha on Marsh. He was made for October. Not necessarily Mr October, but maybe Mr Fright. Mr Muchlinski ain’t scared of him though, he jobbed him pretty good.

That idiot Dusty Baker, the guy with the toothpick and the sweat bands and stuff on his forearms, was ejected in the 8th inning of Game 5 against Texas. He said he didn’t leave the dugout right away because he didn’t think he deserved to be ejected.

I sure as he– hope MLB fines and suspends that disgrace to the game.

Yeah, Rats, when Garcia got drilled, (and it was a full throttle fastball) the first thought that came to my mind was that old Dusty was situated in the Astro’s dugout. When Adolis hit that 3 run tater he slammed his bat down into the dirt of the HP area before circling the bases and then triumphantly stomping on HP for added emphasis. We all know what Dusty’s capable of from his back and forth battles with TLR during his days as manager of the Giants, Cubbies and Reds. Dusty’s from back in the cave man days, so there was no question that he personally relayed the signal to Abreu and his catcher Maldonado that Garcia had to go down. I thought Garcia was a bit more that a little over the top with the theatrics he displayed during his trot around the bases, so I somewhat expected that a message would be sent. The problem that I had with the HBP, which was undoubtedly a purpose pitch, was that it was up. At any rate, Dusty’s from an era when guys put their heads down and simply circled the bases because it was in their best interest to do so…Haha!

An AZ win tonight in game 5 of the NLCS would prove to be the precise opposite script from the ALCS in the sense that the visiting team in the ALCS has emerged victorious in all 5 games and the home team has so far won all 4 games in the NLCS. In any event, I’m a little surprised that AZ has fought back to tie the series at 2-2. They looked entirely outmatched by Philly in the first 2 games.

Lousy throw to HP from Marte allows Harper to score Philly’s second run on a successful double steal. A decent throw results in a relatively easy out.

Schwarber and Harper each with solo taters to put the Phillies ahead 4-0 and place them in command in the 6th.

The Phillies have the horses in the rotation and power from the lineup to play October baseball well. I’m sure they’ll close it out in game 6 and I’d give them the edge against whomever they play in the World Series as well.

No question that I’m giving Philly the edge heading back home, but it’s still baseball and the Oakland A’s can beat any team on any given day, so there’s no way I’m counting out the Dbacks. In the ALCS, I think it’s more lobsided in favor of the Astros heading back to the orange juice bowl for game 6 and possibly a 7th game. At any rate, it may indeed be a rerun of the ’22 WS with PHI/HOU once again. If so, a baseball gypsy told me it’ll be the Astros in 5…Haha!

Yeah, I just got home and tuned in to them up 3-1 in the 5th. I’d say they need to place some more the board.

Lead-off HBP and Maldonado sure didn’t look like he was playing dodgeball.

Bases jammed up with 1 out in the 8th. Better get Chappy in there.

I have watched 90 seconds of the post season so far and I see the guy Mo gave away hit a salami in the 9th to put it away.

    Haha!…He only has 10 RBI’s in this ALCS…And a total of 15 this post-season.

This is starting to have some painful similarities to the Arozarena playoff run 3 years ago. At that time, Mo said they were going to review how they rank their own players so that kind of thing didn’t happen again.

Did Mo ever share with the press how that review went and if any changes were made?

A Leclerc blown save in game 5 has turned into a game 7 start by Scherzer with a bum shoulder. All hands on deck!
