I’d hate to be an umpire.
June 26, 2022 at 4:05 pm #189289Goldy almost does it again. Almost.
June 26, 2022 at 4:08 pm #189290What a catch by Happ in left f. Made up for that one yesterday when he let that blooper drop which cost the Cubs the game.
June 26, 2022 at 4:17 pm #189291The Cubs might have got robbed on that 2nd base tag. But nobody wanted to look at it except the runner.
June 26, 2022 at 4:21 pm #189292Cubs may feel like they will need that review in the 9th. (Possibly)
June 26, 2022 at 4:24 pm #189293I thought so too, gentlemen ( Tscurlo & J Mack).
Still knotted at 5 here in the top of the 9th.
June 26, 2022 at 4:27 pm #189294Fernandez might be of some help as long as he could throw strikes with that power arm of his.
June 26, 2022 at 4:27 pm #189295Wonder what Jaime (properly pronounced “Hi-May”) Garcia, is doing these days? He can’t be over 40 years of age can he? Could be a little left in that arm of his. I know he had a career sub-4.00 ERA. BobbyReed?
June 26, 2022 at 4:32 pm #189296Zack Thompson has been simply marvelous today …still tied going to the bottom of inning #9.
June 26, 2022 at 4:35 pm #189297Arch rivals or not, this has been far too a competitive series as far as the Cardinals are concerned. Now let’s end this madness and go home!
June 26, 2022 at 4:39 pm #189298Cy Givens seems to have our hitters baffled in his 2 innings of labor here this afternoon…..but now Herrera lines a base hit to right to ignite a bit of a light to the Redbird 9th with 2 out. And as Tommy E. strolls to the dish, Chicago will make themselves a pitching change.
June 26, 2022 at 4:40 pm #189299Hererra a nice hit to right. Let’s go Tommy.
June 26, 2022 at 4:41 pm #189300Win one for the team. Or at least, for Pugs.
June 26, 2022 at 4:41 pm #189301Sosa pinch running for Herrera and Robertson pitching for Chicago.
Thanks So_Cal!
Extras today, gang.
June 26, 2022 at 4:42 pm #189302If the Cards can’t win 2 out of 3 vs. Cubs at Home with a five run lead……….Well…….
June 26, 2022 at 4:44 pm #189303That nicely sums matters up J. Mack.
June 26, 2022 at 4:45 pm #189304So…. two strikes on both Carlson and Edman… with the left side completely open…. do you chance it and try to bunt… with the game sitting as it is????
June 26, 2022 at 4:47 pm #189305Contreras keeps punishing us. There is a way to stop that.
June 26, 2022 at 4:47 pm #189306This deal where they put a guy on 2nd base in extra innings is Little League squat. What idiot thought of this?
June 26, 2022 at 4:47 pm #189307Contreras’ 3rd rbi puts Chicago on top 6-5. No outs.
There sure is, KsCardFan!
June 26, 2022 at 4:48 pm #189308Who the hell dreamed up this runner starting on second in extras nonsense? It ain’t baseball.
June 26, 2022 at 4:49 pm #189309We need to limit the damage to this one lone tally. Thompson can do this.
It sure is horse-hockey, Cardinal In France & J.Mack.
June 26, 2022 at 4:53 pm #189310This one, if it ends up an L, might be one you pin on the manager. Was Woody available? If so, using Wittgren and his 5 plus ERA rather than Woodford is strange. Still never know – you cannot assume it would have gone better. And you would like to see the offense generate at least one more run somewhere along the line.
June 26, 2022 at 4:55 pm #189311Former Cardinal Pat Wisdom keeps the pressure on. Cubs threaten to break it open. And here comes the man of the hour. Let’s see how this goes.
June 26, 2022 at 4:56 pm #189312A Wisdom 1 out double has the cubs now thinking grandiose things with one out in the 10th. Exit Thompson Enter Woodford
