Pugs and Dom…I was never even near a foul ball. The nearest I ever came was a McGwire homer to the above deck at Jack Murphey that bounced down to my section, about 20 rows away

As far as beer: we couldn’t afford stadium beer at Busch 2 so we brought a little six-pack cooler with the cheapest beer we could find…usually Hamm’s

I think most had to be thinking unintentional-intentional walk, but he got a high fat one. Yep, those are the cubs.

You could certainly go either way CC. My thoughts changed when the bottom of the 8th went long and Helsley was throwing hard in the pen.

If the Cubs get a man on in the 9th I’m gonna have to break out the Tums

I like Danny, but he just mentioned McGwire in the same sentence with Albert Pujols…

Carter, go ahead and take a preventative Tums now. You know how it goes.

Helsley needs to settle a little. I think the crowd got him too amped.

Edman ends it with a 1-6-3 DP. The gold glove infield starts and finishes it.

Yeah baby a perfectly smooth finish. It’s a winner! Great game by Mikolas with the hits showing up at the perfect time.
    Go Cardinals!

Very good win and wow…amazed by Pujols. He looks like he’s turned back the clock. The Cards are having some serious fun right now. How much do we dare to dream??

    That was awesome!!

There was an article somewhere right after the Cardinals signed Albert this Spring titled something like “Cardinals Signing Pujols Shows Club Values Money Over Winning.” I thought, “I don’t know – I am happy
to see Albert come back and finish up here. Plus he still mashed lefties.” But this has far exceeded mine, and probably most everyone’s expectations. So far a memorable season.

I know Pujols insists that he is done but I dont see how he doesnt come back. Sure, great tô go out on high note but can anything be more fun than this?

Poor Miles works 8 full innings of a 2 hit shutout game and everyone wants to talk to the great Albert Pujols…

Little Eddie tells his grandkids, “Yeah, I once slapped a double to LF in the 8th inning of a scoreless ballgame and the great Albert Pujols literally shoved me across HP with his 695th HR!”

Thinking more and more about a trip to Busch in October. Wife doesn’t know it yet, but she’ll probably be going too since my son said he’ll likely not be able to go due to his work schedule.
