I wonder why Tudor doesn’t show up for Cards functions or visit the press box? He was huge for us for while

OK… I just don’t understand. How can that be an error on O’Neill… when it was Dejong that lazily reached down the catch the ball…. and let it squib off of his glove??????

    I just don’t get it.

(also… I am showing my baseball ignorance… so please forgive me)

Tuff Dom: Haha…I couldn’t remember who the Redbirds traded for Tudor…Silent George!

I saw an interview some years back and he was surprisingly engaging

Both these LHP’s trading some pretty good punches. I’m looking for a TKO of Smyley by the 5th round.

It is truly amazing that Silent George never hit over 25 homers in a season. I think “George Hendrick” and the first thing that comes to mind is “home run”.

Pugs…I think of a photo of him standing safe at 2B after he had doubled and flashing a big smile at a dejected Ganter as the Redbirds were in the process of taking the lead in game 7.

I think it bears repeating…..How could the Yankees let Montgomery go? It wasn’t like we gave them Gorman and Winn for him…….but looking at it now….. would you trade Gorman and Winn for Montgomery? I’d have to say “yes”.

****What a sweet photo, TD! Still have that pic?

At this pace we’ll be able to catch the 9pm local FOX news. One run will be huge in this game. Both starters could go 8.

Pugs…No, I never had it, but it was a StL. Post Dispatch photo. I’m sure it’s out there somewhere. What really made it so good was that coupled with the big smile, George was shrugging his shoulders in a manner that sort of said, “Sorry Jimmy, but this is game 7″…I loved the photo. You may remember that Gantner and none other than the One Tough Dominican had engaged in a heated exchange earlier in the ballgame.

Pugs…And oh, I’m on the same page in regards to the Monte trade. Has Bader played even an inning yet?

Had another cable outage and it just came back up. Just in time to see NAs magical play.

din din with the grandkids earlier was chili dogs and tater tots. Desert was chocolate custard filled doughnuts.

Eddie sure doesn’t look like he wants that lead-off role back.

Pugs: How could the Yankees let Montgomery go?

He was their 5th starter and would see little or no innings in the post season. That’s how deep they are. Getting a good CF in Bader was a smart play

I don’t think Bader has played yet, TD…..boy Edman is struggling. With the way most everyone else is hitting, if Tommy Edman had been hitting like Tommy Edman usually hits, we’d have an 8 game lead right now. Love chili dogs, Bling….you have to smother them with onions though.

    * Good Carter, I’m glad the Yanks are pleased with the deal, because we are ecstatic.

Did we trade for Jordan Montgomery or Steve Carlton?

Hey you were right, Tscurlo. The official scorer has just had a change of heart and took the error away from O’Neill and given it to DeJong.

Still scoreless as we mosey along to the 7th.

Pugs mentioned the crisp pace of this ballgame which is certainly a credit to the two LHP’ers, but I think a bit of the feel of this game also goes to the HPU. HPU’s just don’t seem to call the strike down at the knees or up at the letters as often as they once did. Bacchus is doing so thus far tonight.
