Well pugs I have to give two game balls if that’s the case. Monty deserves the game ball but to win someone has to cross the plate so I give one to pujols too.

Makes sense on the all time GDPs. You gotta play a long time to get that stat.

Yeah, not only do you have to have a long career, but you also have to be a great hitter and hit the baseball with authority.

This pitching performance can only be adequately described if it includes the word “masterpiece”.

Awesome performance by Monty. Pujols didn’t disappoint either. Let’s take two tomorrow.

Yeah I agree Willie, but there’s one major problem…..there is only one game ball to give

What an emphatic final out call by the 1st base ump! That was a classic….can any tech savvy poster post that clip?

That’s the kind of ballgame I like to see win or lose.

Well pugs if you are gonna force me to choose, you have to go with Monty. His performance allowed us to win with only one runner crossing plate.

I just got settled in here…..and the game is over already. It seemed like the game was played in under an hour……which is just what the doctor ordered considering we have a twin bill on tap tomorrow.

Yeah, I agree with Monte too, Willie. Maybe we can toss Albert a game bat or something.

99 pitch shutout. When was the last time a Redbird pitcher worked a CG under 100 pitches, much less a shutout?

Boy if you had been told beforehand that your team was only going to get 4 hits for the entire game, plus commit an error, there’s no way you could have foreseen victory for your team.

Sweet pic, Carter. I like the smaller wings vs the meaty wings, as they seem to be much tastier.

Does Arenado really need to wear a glove? He seems to do just fine with his bare hand.

Jaime Garcia was the last lefty to toss a 1 hitter. but 99 pitches? I doubt it
