LeGrand…I’ll be darned. Garcia was capable of turning in some good work for a few years.
Monty is becoming our ace while Bader is still sitting in the Yankee dugout hurt. No disrespect to Bader but the Yanks got royally heisted.
Great win! Keep it rolling Redbirds!
Montgomery now 4-0 and has allowed a total of 1 run in 25.2 IP for an ERA of 0.35 since sliding his left arm through the sleeve of a Cardinal uniform.
Helluva a performance by Montgomery
99 pitch shutout. When was the last time a Redbird pitcher worked a CG under 100 pitches, much less a shutout?
Waino had an 88 pitch shutout on Aug 11 of last year. The Cards have had 14 such games in the Maddux era.
What an emphatic final out call by the 1st base ump! That was a classic….can any tech savvy poster post that clip?
Pretty good timing to work a CG the night before tomorrow’s day-night DH.
You’re not only tech savvy….. you’re just plain savvy, Euro……thanks! It almost looks like that 1st base ump was doing some sort of Kung Fu sidestep/punch maneuver.
And with Helsley still out. I don’t think any of us want to depend on our enigmatic bullpen. I don’t have near enough rolaids.
Wpw! I’m gonna have to crank up the ol’ MLB-TV replay for this baby this morning.
Read you loud and clear…..it was a solid test, Tscurlo.
