Hey Wooster, if you read this, a little reverse psychology can work wonders. I credit you for the grand slam!
August 20, 2022 at 10:36 pm #196671Woodford is a puzzle to me! Why is he not used more? I would rather he start than Hudson! And he never gets a chance in relief! Marmol is simply not good at managing the bullpen! Case closed!
August 20, 2022 at 10:37 pm #196672Maybe Woodford can come in and hold the six run lead.

August 20, 2022 at 10:37 pm #196675Who would’ve guessed dejong hitting a grand slam, after striking out all those at bats
August 20, 2022 at 10:37 pm #196676Yadi picked a great night to go see a basketball game. Knizner has filled in well.
August 20, 2022 at 10:38 pm #196677Well, we had a 4 run lead. I’ve always been told no lead is ever safe until the final score is called in to NY.
August 20, 2022 at 10:38 pm #196678I concur
August 20, 2022 at 10:38 pm #196679DeJong needed that for sure.

ParticipantOutside of pallante, I can’t see where marmol has really proven himself at all. His absolute misuse of Woodford takes any of that good away. But to each their own. I could argue he’s the worst manager we have ever had in my lifetime though he is young. But some mistakes have been beyond young manager mistakes
August 20, 2022 at 10:43 pm #196681Good to see DeJong square one up. He seemed to be getting on the ball better with the fly outs the prior two ABs.
I would think Marmol will finally get Woody in there with a minimum of a six run lead.
August 20, 2022 at 10:45 pm #196682Triple crown pursuit continues
August 20, 2022 at 10:45 pm #196683He wants the Trifecta.
August 20, 2022 at 10:46 pm #196684Talk about pouring it on! Goldy gets to 100 RBI, and we still have 11 days left in August.

ParticipantI think marmol sends out gallegos again but maybe he is smarter than that, we will see. If I was Woodford and he tried to disrespect me by bringing me in this situation now, I would think about refusing.
August 20, 2022 at 10:46 pm #196686Pretty sure Cabrerra’s in line for the W.
August 20, 2022 at 10:47 pm #196687Shoot, you could have Albert pitch now and win this one. Hicks might make it close, but Albert could polish this one off.

ParticipantYep goldy is just getting the job done. Great to see him and arenado putting it together at same time.
August 20, 2022 at 10:47 pm #196689MVP just hit one out!!

ParticipantJo Jo Romero on. Probably good moment to see what he has. I keep forgetting about him.
August 20, 2022 at 10:50 pm #196691An, the guy we got for Sosa. Let’s see what he can do.
Looks like kind of a little guy for a pitcher. But that don’t matter if you can get outs.
August 20, 2022 at 10:51 pm #196692I wish I could find the loudmouth Brewers fan who asked if the Cards knew who the Cy Youbg winner was last year at a Sunday loss in St Louis the Crew. If he hadn’t repeated it 20 times it wouldn’t have been annoying. Although our MVP could be the Brewers GM, who traded Hader.
I’d like to ask him who the MVP is this year?
August 20, 2022 at 10:52 pm #196693I’d like to have seen Romero pitch. Perfect time to make our debut.
August 20, 2022 at 10:53 pm #196694Whose Jo Jo Romero?
August 20, 2022 at 10:54 pm #196695Not exactly awe inspiring numbers from this guy. But makes his Cardinal debut with back to back Ks.
