I think Rizzo has been a disappointment for these cubbies the last couple of years. Wonder what kind of trade value he has?
July 21, 2021 at 11:15 pm #1673800-2 three straight balls not near the strike zone. That’s coaching. Attack!
July 21, 2021 at 11:16 pm #167381McFarland the Magician.
July 21, 2021 at 11:17 pm #167382That cub 10th inning seemed like it lasted a good 30 minutes. Luckily and amazingly they didn’t score. Let’s end this madness now and hit the sack ….oops better not say “sack” or “bag” around Euro or Bling.
July 21, 2021 at 11:18 pm #1673831982 willieParticipantArenado isn’t the Ozzie Smith of third base. He makes too many errors on easy plays.
July 21, 2021 at 11:18 pm #167384Like the list Pugs- Don’t know Rizzos stats. May not be good enough to warrant 1st base. Hes a team fixture and well known but star power does not neccessarily help you win games now a days. We’re still very much in this game despite to brain farts by both teams.A real juggernaut I’d say!
July 21, 2021 at 11:18 pm #167385Yep, going 3-2 to Chirinos created some additional disadvantages. Luckily he didn’t the Cards pay.
July 21, 2021 at 11:20 pm #167386Swing the bat
July 21, 2021 at 11:21 pm #1673871982 willieParticipantNeed one of those patented right field hits from oneil here
July 21, 2021 at 11:22 pm #167388Pugs, some names to consider:
1B – Hernandez
3B – Rolen, Reitz
CF – Flood, EdmundsJuly 21, 2021 at 11:23 pm #167389oops better not say “sack” or “bag” around Euro or Bling.
If the Cards lose, I will post this pic.
July 21, 2021 at 11:24 pm #167390Arenado up there w a runner on 2nd and no one out and he looks at two strikes not swinging. I don’t get the mentality of this team.
July 21, 2021 at 11:25 pm #167391Wow….some great defenders I didn’t recognize, Forschster. Thanks!
Priceless stuff Euro!
July 21, 2021 at 11:27 pm #1673921982 willieParticipantIt’s a winner it’s a winner
July 21, 2021 at 11:27 pm #167393How about Kaat for defensive pitcher?
Cards walk it off!
July 21, 2021 at 11:28 pm #167394Ballgame! Compliments of a Yadi opposite field GRD(Ground Rule Double to the layman).
July 21, 2021 at 11:29 pm #167395MudKaat Grant or Jim Kaat, Euro??
July 21, 2021 at 11:31 pm #1673961982 willieParticipantWell this win makes my trip to st Louis tomorrow to watch the game much better. Going for three out of four is a lot better than just hoping for a split against these losers.
July 21, 2021 at 11:33 pm #167397Leave it to Yadi to win the game. What a weird game. I would guess we are the weirdest team in baseball.
July 21, 2021 at 11:33 pm #167398Very very lucky.
How can the bullpen be that bad.
And on a final goodnight note, all I can say is……THANK YOU RIZZO FOR NOT RUNNING HOME!!! Geez, what was he doing or thinking?????
r/Esteemed Rat<~~~~who lost the bet to Pugs tonight.
July 21, 2021 at 11:36 pm #167399Must be one of those new oversize bags Euro- I starting looking for one in the 9th
The old dog comes through! Well deserved! Lets leave the funk behind-Go Cardinals!July 21, 2021 at 11:41 pm #167400Pugs, I was talking about Jim. Wait, they’re both named Jim. Actually, I was talking about Kitty.
Did you know Mudcat passed away a few weeks ago?
July 21, 2021 at 11:44 pm #167401Must be one of those new oversize bags Euro
LOL Wooster. Actually, bling is not as big as you think he is.
July 22, 2021 at 4:30 am #167402That has to be the ugliest win ever. Thankfully, the Chubs are equally inept. To hasten the conclusion with the free man on second pathetic sandlot B S was merciful. 37000+ were royally ripped off.
The number of batters we hit is really outrageous. Our staff is a hazard. It truly is painful to feel that the team is an embarrassment.
July 22, 2021 at 7:31 am #167403.500 once more. Finish off the Cubs today and see what happens next.
Playoffs are still highly unlikely but you never know….
From Vivaelbirdos:
“Though the Cardinals have been playing better, they still have a less than 3% chance of making the playoffs. The Wild Card is likely out of reach, considering the level of play out west. The division is equally unlikely as it would require the Cardinals to play out of their minds AND for the Brewers to tumble. All while kicking the Reds out of the way.”
