If Schildt still plans on pinch hitting Carpenter, I think it is a poor decision. Waino is throwing well and deserves to hit.
I had paused the game but why the hell did we try to bunt there. Just stupid, who is making these calls. But bader saves it for now. Just fire the whole coaching staff.
A ball to carpenter an inch and a half closer to the plate than Carlson’s pitch but called the opposite and people still want incompetent people calling balls and strikes.

Timing of complaints to the ump is important so you get the makeup call and the makeup to the makeup call at exactly the right point in the game. All those complexities would be sorely missed with electronic calling of balls/strikes.

Willie my kids high school basketball had to call a game because the coaches were trying to fight the referees. They actually called the cops to get them out safely. Didn’t get paid that night.
