stlcard25ParticipantSweet double play! Nice work by Gomber and Wong.
October 1, 2020 at 8:19 pm #143173DP erases the E6. Was Wong as solid defensively this year as last year?
October 1, 2020 at 8:22 pm #143174
jj-cf-stlParticipantI’m not too pleased w/fowlers effort on that short fly hit
October 1, 2020 at 8:22 pm #143175Padres hitting ’em where they ain’t now. Could’ve used more mileage from Gomber.
October 1, 2020 at 8:22 pm #143176Gomber out, Helsley in.
October 1, 2020 at 8:23 pm #143177Bull has seen enough of Gomber. Can’t say I disagree. Our old phriend pham is 3-3 and still stinging us.
October 1, 2020 at 8:27 pm #143178
jj-cf-stlParticipantwell done helsley
October 1, 2020 at 8:27 pm #143179Helsley gets Myers and keeps game 4-2. Nice job!
October 1, 2020 at 8:27 pm #143180
stlcard25ParticipantGeez, this game is such high tension. Can the offense please get on a roll again? Good work by Helsley to get that K.
October 1, 2020 at 8:28 pm #143181Helsley with the punch out to end the inning! Bull still pushing all the right buttons.
4-2 Cards going to the 6th.
October 1, 2020 at 8:29 pm #143182Two curves, two heaters. That’s called slamming the door.
October 1, 2020 at 8:32 pm #143183
stlcard25ParticipantDejong with the leadoff walk.
October 1, 2020 at 8:32 pm #143184Lead off hitter reaches on walk. Cardinals need to make something happen here.
October 1, 2020 at 8:33 pm #143185
stlcard25ParticipantOk, here’s where you go matchup and bring in the righty. Carp is the DH so you’re not missing anything in the field.
October 1, 2020 at 8:33 pm #143186Can the offense please get on a roll again?
You know that’s not how they roll. Just go ahead and accept the only path to a win is a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 9th, bases loaded, two outs, Miller on the mound, having already walked one and hit another, with a full count against Tatis, and then Miller delivers a . . . . hmmm, I can’t wait.
October 1, 2020 at 8:36 pm #143187
stlcard25ParticipantMust be nice to get the huge wide zone. That 0-0 pitch hasn’t been called all night.
October 1, 2020 at 8:38 pm #143188Carp draws a walk. Two on, no out. Need Dexter to do something.
October 1, 2020 at 8:38 pm #143189
stlcard25ParticipantMarp walks. Would you take a chance on bunting the guys over with Fowler? Bader *probably* makes contact with a lefty.
October 1, 2020 at 8:39 pm #143190Fowler!
October 1, 2020 at 8:40 pm #143191
jj-cf-stlParticipant0-2 double, you know that hurts
October 1, 2020 at 8:40 pm #143192Way to go Dexter … doubles in a run! Redbirds lead 5-2.
October 1, 2020 at 8:40 pm #143193
stlcard25ParticipantFowler doubles!!! 5-2 Cards and Carp on 3rd.
October 1, 2020 at 8:45 pm #143194K by Bader stings, now Wong must deliver.
October 1, 2020 at 8:46 pm #143195bccran
ParticipantThere should be a rule about stepping out of the box and going through a long routine after every pitch.
October 1, 2020 at 8:46 pm #143196
stlcard25ParticipantOK Bader…let’s get the 6th run in here. He’s a little behind on these pitches. Even gets a center cut breaker. He’s battling. Just drive one somewhere, Harrison! It’s foul city here. Bader finally Ks.
