Wow….just checking the great Bambino’s 1921 stats. OPS – 1.359, 59 dingers, 168 rbi, ba of .378, 145 walks…..and for good measure he swipped 17 bases. Love to see a guy like that hitting in the 3 hole for our Birds.
I’d love nothing better than for this game to evolve in a way where I feel compelled to request our our skipper to call off the dogs. To qualify as a COD game, a team only needs to amass an 8 run advantage after 5 innings of play. Let’s get there boys.
Cards didn’t so much there in the 3rd. Hopefully they can keep the pressure on the rest of the game and Waino can keep the Padres hitters off balance.
