jj-cf-stlParticipantproductive out, thanks Wong
October 1, 2020 at 8:49 pm #143199
stlcard25ParticipantWong has swung at two pitches way up out of the zone. Cards really need to get this 6th run. C’mon, Kolten! He grounds out but Carp is in. 6-2 Cards.
October 1, 2020 at 8:49 pm #143200Wong with a productive AB. Cards lead 6-2.
Would love to get Dexter across the plate here.
October 1, 2020 at 8:50 pm #143201
stlcard25ParticipantHere comes Ernest, I mean Richards, to try to get Edman.
October 1, 2020 at 8:50 pm #143202Bader swinging for the fences with the perfect launch angle, but he strikes out with men on 2nd and 3rd. A simple bloop base hit would’ve plated 2 and probably iced the game.
That is not Cardinals baseball. I like him and want to keep him, but his youth frequently shows.
Look for Bader to the bench next game and O’Neill getting a chance.

jj-cf-stlParticipantHelsley has had time for a nap
October 1, 2020 at 8:51 pm #143205bccran
ParticipantNo reason to allow that goofy routine. Wastes way too much time.
October 1, 2020 at 8:54 pm #143206
stlcard25ParticipantEdman doesn’t look particularly close to making contact here. He does finally connect but it’s an easy grounder. Still, they got two in, which were very needed. Will Helsley still be warm for the bottom of the 6th? I’d imagine they are gonna try to use the same group as before, with maybe Webb as a lefty/matchup guy.
October 1, 2020 at 8:54 pm #143207
jj-cf-stlParticipantI absolutely love that baseball doesn’t have a clock
October 1, 2020 at 8:56 pm #143208Cabrera on. Please be aggressive and do not walk anyone.
October 1, 2020 at 8:56 pm #143209I don’t like getting only 4 pitches from Helsley the way he looked.
October 1, 2020 at 8:57 pm #143210Ugh!
October 1, 2020 at 8:58 pm #143211
stlcard25ParticipantI don’t know why you wouldn’t go with Helsley for longer here unless he was ice cold. Cabrera does exactly what you don’t want to start the bottom of the 6th. 5 pitch walk.
October 1, 2020 at 8:59 pm #143212
jj-cf-stlParticipantYadi not pleased with Cabrera, LOL, looked like butt chewin’!
October 1, 2020 at 8:59 pm #143213
stlcard25ParticipantWhat the heck is with this strike zone? Call it when it’s in the dang zone, ump!!!
October 1, 2020 at 9:01 pm #143215Not a good start … two walks … no you face the top of the order. You gotta wonder what he pulled Helsley.
October 1, 2020 at 9:01 pm #143216This wasn’t necessary. Overthinking it.
October 1, 2020 at 9:01 pm #143218
stlcard25ParticipantBack to back walks. Cabrera is trying to give this one back to San Diego. He gets three batters and out, IMO.
October 1, 2020 at 9:02 pm #143219Step in the right direction. Now Two on, one down.
Cabrera out, Gallegos in.
October 1, 2020 at 9:04 pm #143221Shildt’s gotta get a little length out of somebody. Cabrera out and still 11 outs to go.
October 1, 2020 at 9:04 pm #143222
stlcard25ParticipantCabrera gets the K, and he’s out. That’s two nearly useless outings from him in this series. I’d consider Webb instead the rest of the postseason. Cabrera’s command is just way too spotty.
Gallegos in.
I absolutely loathe this announcing team. They’re literally as bad as I’ve ever heard.
October 1, 2020 at 9:04 pm #143223
jj-cf-stlParticipanthmmmm, yadi not pleased with him and he blows off the manager when pulled.
Hello foot, BANG!October 1, 2020 at 9:06 pm #143224
stlcard25ParticipantGallegos throws a strike and it’s called a ball. Fun.
October 1, 2020 at 9:10 pm #143225
stlcard25ParticipantGone. Thanks, Shildt.
October 1, 2020 at 9:11 pm #143226Uh oh…it’s a game now
