If the Cards squirm out of this one, it will look like Shildt handled the bullpen perfectly. If not, he will be criticised for overmanaging the pen and using literally every good pitcher we have for less than they were probably capable of.

Let’s hoped Reyes has control of his breaking pitches.

Reyes gets Tatis! Now the offense needs to get an insurance run or two!

Reyes is amped up. 100 then 101 the first two pitches. The next one is a soft grounder to Dejong. Whew.

This one is what we call an old fashioned barnburner here in Indiana. Its a reference to close high school basketball games here in the Hoosier state.

It was just about 100 miles north of Petco where Tatis’ father whacked two grannys in the same inning for our Cardinals. I was just trying to do the math and I’m thinking that Tatis’ Jr. may have been conceived on the night of that historic event. What a day for Tatis Sr.!
    Any math majors out there?

Paul with the walk. I’d probably pinch hit O’Neill here…take the chance that he runs into one and puts it over the fence. But Shildt wouldn’t do that.

Two on, one down. Really need a hit here to add on.

Pugs, Fernando Jr was born about 3 months prior to Fernando Sr’s big game. Made me look it up though. Ha

TON PR for Carp who took 3rd on the run home.

O’Neill in…but as a pinch runner. Can Bader get him in? He’s showing bunt.

I guess I was 6 months off, Stlcard25…..at least I was in the ballpark. Too bad it wasn’t as that would have been a most cool discovery by your old pal here.

Bader has stumped the broadcast crew. They don’t know what term to use for a 5-strikeout game.

Bader Ks for the 5th time. Even worse than the hero Ozuna, who was 0-5 with 3Ks today.

    Bader looks lost today.
