If the Cards squirm out of this one, it will look like Shildt handled the bullpen perfectly. If not, he will be criticised for overmanaging the pen and using literally every good pitcher we have for less than they were probably capable of.

It was just about 100 miles north of Petco where Tatis’ father whacked two grannys in the same inning for our Cardinals. I was just trying to do the math and I’m thinking that Tatis’ Jr. may have been conceived on the night of that historic event. What a day for Tatis Sr.!
