bcc…I always laugh at all the mocks because they are nothing but a guess. Do you think the 30 scouting directors are going to tell who they are going to take.

they are saying Baltimore saved money at #2 so they could really throw money at #30

speaking of money, max meyer just earned a bunch more at #3 compare to his mocks

Max Meyer?!? Didn’t see that coming with Martin on the board. Somebody is going to slide. Super interesting so far.

DM. I read that yesterday and have seen that they like Ed Howard for that spot.

Mocks are crap shoot, no argument here. I just find them as a fun way to start discussion and get what other people who are somewhat connected are thinking and hearing. Overall its an entertaining way to consolidate information.

All 4 year Jrs through pick 5. Sounds like a trend of safe picks is starting to emerge.

4 out of the first 6 players are from the SEC…the best conference by a lot.

Gonzales seems like a real boom or bust kind of prospect to me.

I mentioned this some pages back. Intelligence for mocks often come from scouts. Scouts can learn what other team’s scouts may be thinking by seeing them and talking to them at games – games which were not held this spring. As a result, many of the mocks are less informed guesses than usual.

I thought Hendrick might be one to slide, but a good pick up for the Reds. His power will play at Great American Ballpark.
