And a nice play sends us to extra innings
One rookie tied it up. Can another rookie win it?
And JMart grounds into a DP
Ozuna reaches 1st on wild pitch 3rd strike
It’s perhaps because Goldy is not a selfish nor a greedy player and he wanted to let someone else have the honors of being the hero tonight.
Instead he looks at strike 3. Taking lessons from Carp.
Will Goldy have back to back nights with the game winner?
I have a joke to tell. A 2019 Cardinals player comes up to bat, lol, that was the joke.
And the lead is back to 2. Brebbia has fallen off
And Wong grounds into a force play.
Stlcard25 needs to say he’s going to bed. Wink wink.
I am watching on mute becaus I refuse to listen to Thompson whenever the Cardinals trail and are trying to mount a rally. Not that I’m superstitious or anything
I turned it on. It was 4-1. It is now 4-3. Just saying
It’s one thing to have a terrible offense but have no leader to light a fire under our ass. Instead we Have schildt with at least you tried.
Heading home to watch the last couple inning of this whatever you call it.
I echo your post Pugs.
There’s a lot of post about what AP is going to do to our pitching staff based primary on what he used to do at Busch as a Cardinal… I could be interpreting that wrong though and it’s based on what he is doing today. Anyhow I’m not so worried about what AP will do to us as much as I am worried about that player they have in CF. I hear he’s a pretty good one.
I agree with Cardinal in France. Thank you AP for what you did while in Stl. and you had a chance to stay but apparently 200 million over 10 years would not work for you. I believe that was the offer, but I think why AP didn’t stay is because we wouldn’t offer a no trade clause, but I could be wrong about that. Anyhow, I think even AP will admit that although achievements and records were set wearing an Angels jersey, you’re best playing days were as a Cardinal. But you’re not a Cardinal anymore so when you come up to bat, I will tip my cap for what you have done and only the first at bat but when that first pitch is made, I am a Cardinals fan.
Here is a question for tonight’s game. What will have the higher total?
Cardinal runs?
or
Number of times Mclauglin mentions AP return visit to St. Louis?I agree with stlcard25.. this is a must win. A home split against the Marlins is just not acceptable. After a dramatic victory or series sweep, I keep thinking that is what will energize this offense but then we are flat the next game. By sitting 4 of his regulars yesterday, maybe Schildt was trying to send a message… who knows.
For this game, my key to a Cardinal victory is that they don’t bat in the 9th inning. If they do this, they will be guaranteed a win.Tomorrow’s game is big because anything other than a series win against the Marlins will be a disappointment.
I just realized that gscottar after J posted that. We are fortunate to be just 2 games out.
We all learned a valuable lesson here and that is to never doubt Pugs.
Another key to victory was stlcard25 pretending to go to bed, how sneaky. I think my earlier key played a big part too. That is team work. Go Cardinals. 1.5 out.
Mabry is probably watching at home thinking, I told them it wasn’t my fault
