Why do you say that willie? I don’t think there was a winning culture throughout the org then. They were just scraping by doing the minimum. Eventually it slid to less than the minimum which isn’t surprising.

Right thinking people would agree that a top ranked system should be able to produce a starting pitcher with a one syllable surname.
I hear you ccrany. Not long ago i mentioned that here we are heading into September and 40% of the rotation had an ERA over 5. Ouch. But we knew it could be a brutal year. We just have to ride it out.
The most important aspect of developing a young player is making them into a winner and you can’t do that by losing. Its only ever the loser talking about the season is a marathon. Winners know it is 162 sprints back to back. Each game a thing to itself, an opportunity to be seized now or lost forever. Losers will look for positves to take from a loss. Winners know a loss is failure and no part of it is positive. The psychology of winning is an intangible which cannot be measured and objectively quantified. If it can’t be quanified it can’t be input for analytics, so it doesn’t count. It doesn’t even exist. But it is fundamental to success.
Theoretically, and depending on injuries, the system could run out of room in the upper levels some time next season if guys play their way out of their season opening roster assignments faster than injury and performance attrition thins the ranks above.
A top rated system should be able to provide the ML roster with a couple of decent middle relief types.

I had seen her once before and was not sorry the situation came about, so I donned my best after hours cologne. But when I arrived she was gone and it was some hairy dude.
I think baseball should ban all tightening of gloves during an at bat.
I would just ban batting gloves along with ankle length pants knee down catchers and pine tar in a spray can.
the ghost runner rule does not bother me at all
Some people think the short attention span crowd would prefer the ghost runner every inning the whole game. I think they probably would.
In a couple years or whenever the young man pops onto the radar he will surely get a lot of warm well wishes from Cardinals fans and others.
We took the lead in the 10th so hopefully we shut them down here and the pitchers batting issue doesn’t come up.
They could do a pinch hitter when the pitchers spot comes up. Of course, then you need a new pitcher.
