The Brewers have really shown you don’t need SP who go deep in the game if you have multiple really good guys in the pen especially if they can go a couple innings. I would love to see the Cards go the Brewers route and just move Roby and Hjerpe to the pen to see if they can be 2 inning, lock down guys like Ashby.
Been a good game. The Rays are playing better this game. Their offense in general is so weak with multiple Cards cast offs even starting for them. The pen has been awful too but better today.
Brewers are definitely a better team overall and can hopefully take him that W soon
I’m not nearly on the same page about Condon as many here. There are a few guys the same age who have done well already to start their careers and have real pop in their bats. Dos Santos, Hernandez, Padilla, and Frias are above Condon for me.
Peete is a choice I can get behind as he has starting CFer upside but is a risky bet. The upside is worth that risk though.
On the pitching front, I think Bling is the only one to mention him, but I have Mason Molina as the next pitcher and above many of the hitters actually. He is another guy I see pitching in the bigs and as a #4 type guy.

#12 Mason MolinaCijntje throwing 80-90 pitches isn’t something I would hold against him as that was an org philosophy this year as a whole. With his build, I don’t really have concerns of him going out throwing 100 pitches a night next season.
#10 Cijntje
The system is really good when we are still voting on someone at Cjintje at 10. This is a guy who will most likely be pitching in the bigs next yearat some point and seems like a guy with a long road of MLB pitching ahead of him. He has been durable and seems be be big framed despite not very tall to support pitching a full season of innings each year. He also has some #4 SP upside and maybe higher if he can improve his fastball a little.
#7 Fajardo
Fajardo is very advanced for his young age and has flew up the minors. He has posted excellent SwStr% at every stop and generates a lot of swing and miss with his changeup. His fastball isn’t as highly rated, but I see Fajardo as a guy who has such good feel of the changeup he will make guys look silly. As young as he is, he should be able to keep improving and could have more velo in the tank.
#6 Tanner Franklin
Mid season I wasn’t as confident with Franklin, but he really upped his game to end the year after a mid season slump. He has good stuff albeit not Doyle’s level but with better command. Franklin needs to keep building innings, but he seems like a guy with a very high probability of making an MLB impact. He should have mid rotation upside as well.

I do like Bob’s thinking though as I am high on both Dos Santos and Hernandez, but I’m going with Baez who has hit well in the bigs, but the defense is lacking.
Franklin is a good choice here as well and other guys I would have considered like Fajardo and Jesus Baez.
Rooting the most for the Brewers, but I’ll be happy with anyone other than the Dodgers.
I’m glad the Guardians beat the White Sox. I’m not a fan of any Chicago sports.
Both DRS and OAA thought Baez was really bad in a 29 game sample. Defensive stats need a season to stabilize, but he also didn’t look great to the eye test nor coaches if they pull him for a defensive replacement.
Yamamoto is a great pitcher and a fun one to watch especially in the postseason. Him vs Sale is a great matchup.
Gscottae beat me to being the first to vote Quinn.
Quinn pitched like a mid rotation SP this year in his time at the bigs and I think he has better results down the road. He struggled with toying with hitters at times rather than just attacking. If he can continue to improve there, I seen him as a #2/3 type.
Him versus Doyle here is a tough call but for me Quinn has much less risk and has a slightly lower ceiling (60) compared to Doyle’s 65. Quinn has the advantage of having performed at the big league level now though.
Winquest and even Prieto I would be okay putting on the list as they barely went over (wouldn’t vote for Prieto though). But Gastelum spent half the year on the roster. By practical terms of rookie he would be no longer eligible. RP barely throw more than 50 IP in a whole year.
Gastelum had 82 service days. Others graduating this year were Winquest as he had 48 service days and Prieto with 61 service days.
Leahy getting super 2 isn’t great for down the road. Right now it isn’t as much of a problem. Gorman should be an easy non-tender. I would non-tender Pages unless you are really sure someone would give up something like a lower level RP for him. Liberatore I expect them to tender but he would be an iffy one for me. Maybe they can ship him and Gorman off and they can stay together.
This got here so fast. I at least know who I have #1 without any research and I’ll have to start prepping the top of my list.

My dad grew up in Milwaukee and was a Brewers fan. Cardinals / Brewers series were always extra fun for the father son back and forth banter. My dad passed yesterday morning suddenly. He had been excited about the Brewers season and was happy to see them break the team win record last year and again this year and hoping to see them hit 100 wins. I’m going to be rooting for the Brewers and hope they win the World Series this year for him.
Dan Clark sounds like an annoying ass complaining to complain and make sure players don’t want to stay / sign in PIT. Players have down years and if Skenes down year is a 3.91 ERA while being unlucky with a FIP of 3.32 FIP, then he is doing fine. It would help if the Pirates had even an average defense rather than well below average in the bottom 10. Maybe focus on actual reasons the team isn’t performing rather than what seems a personal grind against Skenes
