jj-cf-stlParticipantI’m ready for a crooked number.
July 4, 2024 at 12:57 pm #258900Shades of Gibson vs Jenkins here this afternoon, JJ, as Pallante and Perez have been very stingy in the hits allowed department. Let’s hope the team in red can change the course of matters here in the 6th in a 1-1 ballgame.

jj-cf-stlParticipantTable set, 1st and 3rd
July 4, 2024 at 1:02 pm #258902That base running blunder by Winn is Exhitit A in how you can send the momentum right on over to the opponent….that was costly.
July 4, 2024 at 1:04 pm #258903Cards get absolutely nothing out of a 1st & 3rd no out situation in the 6th. That half inning most likely will cost us the ballgame.
July 4, 2024 at 1:10 pm #258905I have never seen a Cardinal team this poor in the clutch! We simply can not hit with RISP! Doesn’t matter where we are in the lineup and who it is! We are winning but it’s not sustainable unless someone, anyone can start hitting when it matters!
July 4, 2024 at 1:11 pm #258906Pallante certainly did his job today…..86 pitches through 6 innings, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits….pretty sweet outing.
July 4, 2024 at 1:14 pm #258907Absolutely right, Steve. Goldy, Arenado and Gorman being the poster children for this clutch hitting infertility.
July 4, 2024 at 1:22 pm #258911
jj-cf-stlParticipantTalk about a quick inning!
July 4, 2024 at 1:23 pm #258912It’s embarrassing! We need major lineup changes! Goldschmidt needs to go IMO! We can get the same production from Luken Baker! Not saying Baker is any good, but just as good as Goldschmidt!
July 4, 2024 at 1:23 pm #258913Pallante only has to extend only a miniscule 4 pitches of energy in the 7th inning…..could he be brought back out in the 8th? I’d bring him back out.
July 4, 2024 at 1:27 pm #258914
jj-cf-stlParticipant4 pitches shouldn’t be a difference maker! Bring him back out, see where he goes.
July 4, 2024 at 1:40 pm #258917I thought we were out of challenges….glad we weren’t.
July 4, 2024 at 1:50 pm #258918Where or how did we acquire Kitty? He may have been sent to us straight from heaven. Kitty would have been a great character in “Field of Dreams”.
July 4, 2024 at 1:53 pm #258919What a great last name for a reliever. ….Holderman. Well, let’s hope he does little holding here in the top of the 9th in a 1-1 ballgame, man.
July 4, 2024 at 1:55 pm #258922
jj-cf-stlParticipant3-0 tubers should be on Goldys priority list. I don’t like the take there.
July 4, 2024 at 1:58 pm #258924Oli needs to privately talk with Arenado about not actually running to 1B. He had a play earlier that was close where he was jogging.
July 4, 2024 at 1:58 pm #258926And I don’t understand the point of having a challenge limit if you can just ask the crew chief to do it.
July 4, 2024 at 1:58 pm #258927Just now home from the 4th of July parade and see that Pallante put together a real nice pitching line thru 7 IP. It’s too bad our offensive steamroller of a team couldn’t provide him with more than the RBI pushed across by the slugger Carlson.
July 4, 2024 at 1:58 pm #258928We’re lucky they didn’t call Goldy out for being out of the baseline.
July 4, 2024 at 1:59 pm #258929Awww man, they should have waved him on around.
July 4, 2024 at 1:59 pm #258930Arenado should have scored on that double.
July 4, 2024 at 2:00 pm #258931Cruz throws him out easily if Arenado goes there
July 4, 2024 at 2:01 pm #258932Yeah Pugs, I agree. Even if he’s out by a mile they should have waved him home with 2 outs.
July 4, 2024 at 2:01 pm #258934Terrible hitting…..about as lame as lame gets.
