King in. A surprise, although he has thrown well of late.
May 20, 2024 at 9:16 pm #253058WTH! Where’s Kitty???? King pitching.
*WTH = What The Heck
May 20, 2024 at 9:18 pm #253059Switch hitting catcher – a rarity. We had a Hall of Fame switch hitting backstop at one time.
May 20, 2024 at 9:18 pm #253060Oh that sly dog Oli……I bet he’s having Kitty close this baby out next inning. If he does, Oli has won a few points with ol’ Pugsaronius here.
Simba, BicycleMike
May 20, 2024 at 9:21 pm #253061For some reason this guy makes me think of Ray King. Come to think of it, Ray King makes me think of Arthur Rhodes. Remember him? Must be a lefty thing. I know…I know…My mind wanders…Haha!
May 20, 2024 at 9:21 pm #253062Oh no not Ted…..what was I thinking….who, BicycleMike?
May 20, 2024 at 9:22 pm #253063
jj-cf-stlParticipantWith Libby starting i guess King is the 2nd lefty.
May 20, 2024 at 9:22 pm #253064King & Rhodes were black, TD.
May 20, 2024 at 9:23 pm #253065King not real sharp but gets two outs and leaves a runner. Now let’s see if Pugs’ favorite, Kitty can claw us an out closer to a victory.
May 20, 2024 at 9:24 pm #253066Kitty absolutely purrrrfect as always, BicycleMike. We need to ink Kitty to a brand spanking new 2 year extension…..pronto!
May 20, 2024 at 9:24 pm #253067Two pitches and gets it done, with a nice assist by Noot.
May 20, 2024 at 9:25 pm #253068Yeah, but all 3 are LH’ed RP’ers. They look the same on the radio…
May 20, 2024 at 9:26 pm #253069Ha!
May 20, 2024 at 9:31 pm #253070Let’s see if our version of “The Ryan Express” can close this one out.
May 20, 2024 at 9:34 pm #253072
jj-cf-stlParticipantNoot and Arenado making plays.
May 20, 2024 at 9:35 pm #253073Helsley walks a .140 hitter. 🙃
May 20, 2024 at 9:35 pm #253074..but comes back to get the third out. Nice to get one from these guys. Will be tough to get one more.
May 20, 2024 at 9:35 pm #253075Gray certainly deserved the win…..I’m flipping game balls to both Sonny and Siani……with a little tip of the cap to Kitty.
May 20, 2024 at 9:35 pm #253076
jj-cf-stlParticipantGame Ball to Siani.
May 20, 2024 at 9:36 pm #253077Game ball to Siani and the HP ump. We had a lot of calls go our way tonight. I normally don’t look at the ump score cards, but it probably was heavily in our favor tonight.
May 20, 2024 at 9:37 pm #253078Nice W. Excellent pitching performances all the way around. Gray allows only 1 ER in 5.2 IP’ed, and the BP holds Baltimore hitless the rest of the way.
May 20, 2024 at 9:38 pm #253079Can the red Birds possibly sweep the black and orange Birds? I don’t think a team in this series has ever swept…..just talking St. Louis vs Baltimore, not the old Browns franchise.
May 20, 2024 at 9:39 pm #253080
jj-cf-stlParticipantThe boys are playing a hard9 innings.
May 20, 2024 at 9:43 pm #2530813-1 on the homestand so far.
Still need to get above .500 for me to really buy in.
May 20, 2024 at 9:50 pm #253082Yeah ZTR this helps me feel better in the offense. I think by the end of the year, we will have around a top 10ish lineup, but our SP beyond Gray have really outperformed their FIP and are going to regress. Miles has been bad and worse than expected, but he doesn’t look to be good either and is around a 4.5 FIP. We have already seen it with Lynn the last few starts, and I imagine we will see Gibson regressing over time as well.
