King in. A surprise, although he has thrown well of late.

Switch hitting catcher – a rarity. We had a Hall of Fame switch hitting backstop at one time.

Oh that sly dog Oli……I bet he’s having Kitty close this baby out next inning. If he does, Oli has won a few points with ol’ Pugsaronius here.

For some reason this guy makes me think of Ray King. Come to think of it, Ray King makes me think of Arthur Rhodes. Remember him? Must be a lefty thing. I know…I know…My mind wanders…Haha!

King not real sharp but gets two outs and leaves a runner. Now let’s see if Pugs’ favorite, Kitty can claw us an out closer to a victory.

Kitty absolutely purrrrfect as always, BicycleMike. We need to ink Kitty to a brand spanking new 2 year extension…..pronto!

Two pitches and gets it done, with a nice assist by Noot.

Yeah, but all 3 are LH’ed RP’ers. They look the same on the radio…

Let’s see if our version of “The Ryan Express” can close this one out.

Gray certainly deserved the win…..I’m flipping game balls to both Sonny and Siani……with a little tip of the cap to Kitty.

Game ball to Siani and the HP ump. We had a lot of calls go our way tonight. I normally don’t look at the ump score cards, but it probably was heavily in our favor tonight.

Nice W. Excellent pitching performances all the way around. Gray allows only 1 ER in 5.2 IP’ed, and the BP holds Baltimore hitless the rest of the way.

Can the red Birds possibly sweep the black and orange Birds? I don’t think a team in this series has ever swept…..just talking St. Louis vs Baltimore, not the old Browns franchise.

3-1 on the homestand so far.

Still need to get above .500 for me to really buy in.

Yeah ZTR this helps me feel better in the offense. I think by the end of the year, we will have around a top 10ish lineup, but our SP beyond Gray have really outperformed their FIP and are going to regress. Miles has been bad and worse than expected, but he doesn’t look to be good either and is around a 4.5 FIP. We have already seen it with Lynn the last few starts, and I imagine we will see Gibson regressing over time as well.
