Siani can flat out hit! On my way home from the salt mines as we speak…..cruising along at 83 and I’m still being passed like I’m standing still. Who says there’s only one Autobahn? Love the B. Oriole memories, TD, KeepComingBack and BicycleMike. Just off the top of my head….Elrod Hendricks catching…..Boog at 1st….Davey Johnson at 2nd…..the aforementioned Mark Belanger at SS…..Brooks at 3rd……Paulie Blair in center……Merv Rettenmund out there too…….of course the Fearsome Foresome who won 20 games each for Baltimore in the same season way back when…..Palmer, Cuellar, McNally & Dobson.
May 20, 2024 at 7:37 pm #252980Yeah, Frank was in a class all his own. He remains the only player to win an MVP in both leagues and he eclipses both Mays and Aaron in regards to being the only one of the three to have won a TC.
May 20, 2024 at 7:38 pm #252981I kind of like those city connect uni’s. They are better than a lot of those I have seen. The Rockies have a “license plate”’style city connect, that is green and white like our tags out here. But the state is going to new boring black and white plates. Supposedly they are easier to pick out the numbers for law enforcement.
May 20, 2024 at 7:39 pm #252982I agree, KCB. He’s adorable…
May 20, 2024 at 7:40 pm #252983I like the style of the unis, but I would like them to be a little more different. I also don’t like The Lou. Pardon me I’m going to the loo(u).
May 20, 2024 at 7:42 pm #252984Yeah, those Oriole teams from 1966 to 1971 were something. Four pennants in six years. Earl Weaver, a dynamic manager. Great defense, pitching and real good offense. Put that together and you will win a lot.
Comparing that to the current day Cardinals – let’s see, we have decent pitching, decent defense, not much offense, and a manager who couldn’t carry Weaver’s scorecard.
May 20, 2024 at 7:42 pm #252985Yeah, why be synonymous with a water closet? It’s silly.
May 20, 2024 at 7:45 pm #252986Yeah, unless you’re Bill Haller, Earl was really good…Haha!

jj-cf-stlParticipantBurly and Herrera single, 1st and third, none out. Run them bases!
May 20, 2024 at 7:52 pm #252988like the style of the unis, but I would like them to be a little more different. I also don’t like The Lou. Pardon me I’m going to the loo(u)
I hate it when people refer to it as the Lou.
May 20, 2024 at 7:52 pm #252989Gorman K’d twice in that AB.
May 20, 2024 at 7:52 pm #252990Surely we can make something of two on, nobody out here in the 4th.
May 20, 2024 at 7:53 pm #252991Winn delivers the RBI double…He’s good!
May 20, 2024 at 7:54 pm #252992It is so maddening. 1st and 3rd, no outs, and Gorman cannot even put it in play. But if he hits a homer a week all is forgotten.
May 20, 2024 at 7:56 pm #252993Whoa…Siani with the 3 run TATER!
May 20, 2024 at 7:56 pm #252994Siani! I am very happy to see him get his 1st big league homer.
May 20, 2024 at 7:58 pm #252995Winn and Siani=clutch.
May 20, 2024 at 7:58 pm #252996Siani breaks through the .600 OPS barrier before Goldschmidt does…
May 20, 2024 at 7:59 pm #252997
jj-cf-stlParticipantGorman K, one out.
Winn doubles in Burly, risp at 2nd and 3rd, 2-0.
Siani, 3run tater!
5-0 (crooked number!)May 20, 2024 at 8:02 pm #252998Clubbing the Orioles 5-0 after 4.
Love it.
May 20, 2024 at 8:03 pm #252999Siani is really coming around. His confidence is growing with each game. With his defense, if he can hit anywhere close to what he has been doing he is a valuable player.
May 20, 2024 at 8:04 pm #253000Edman who?
May 20, 2024 at 8:05 pm #253001I’m really beginning to enjoy watching the Cardinal SS. He’s performing well with both the bat and the mitt. And pardon me for saying so, but if the season ended today he’d be a frontrunner for a GG. He’s got a chance to be a good one for a long time.
May 20, 2024 at 8:07 pm #253002Over the past week you could see that Siani was on the precipice of sending one downtown. Now that he has his first dinger out of the way, don’t be surprised if he starts clubbing one or two a week.
May 20, 2024 at 8:10 pm #253004breaks through the .600 OPS barrier before Goldschmidt does…
It pains me to watch. I mean that with empathy for a great guy.
