“I know Goldschmidt is 2-4 but he has 2 k’s looking. Should’v ripped that 2-0 pitch last AB. Swing the bat Oldy!”

And one “hit” was really an error. It seems more than any player Goldy takes good pitches. Not just this year – it seems like he has done that his entire career. I have never understood it.

Let’s hope we don’t need our back end of the BP guys Sunday and Monday.

The other thing is this makes the other guys in the pen get rusty. You have 5 guys that will have had 3 or more days off now. Hopefully we get a bunch of runs here and we don’t need Kitty and Helsley.

    1st and 2nd, none out.
    Sac bunt, 1 down, 2nd and 3rd

    Top of the order….

Yeah, I don’t like burning these guys too much. You want the win obviously, but it’s tough having to use theee guys a lot.

One thing Siani can do is sacrifice bunt. He should probably try bunting for hits more. Need to get at least one here.

Cubs down 17-0. That should count for 2 losses.

On to the 9th. Let’s get 2 runs and give the 9th to Fernandez.

And Arenado just watches all 3 go by. Something isn’t right with him. Watching more pitches and going oppo a lot more. Arenado needs to be a pu hitter to hit for power.

And now Nado watches two pitches right there and strikes out. They were on the outer half, but clearly strikes. Then Goldy gets carved up. Well here comes Helsley again.

Now Goldy Ks again. Hopefully our hitting coach spends some time to work on their game plan to get them back on track. We need them to have a good year.

It Nado’s defense, the first one was 2 inches off the plate. But yeah, he should have at least been swinging at the last one.

They say they are working on things, but have not seen much in the way of results.

I have no problem using our best 3 RP this game. When you are up and it is close, use them. You don’t know if you will even have a close game that they are needed in tomorrow. Obviously though there are some limitations and you don’t want 3 games in a row.

Late on a 4-seam tuber, w/2 strikes. Not a good sign.

The big three in the bullpen are on pace for about 80 games each. Cant keep doing this too much longer.

When Lynn throws his complete game shutout tomorrow, the pen takes the day off 🙂

Does anyone watch the UFL? How many football leagues have come and gone over the years?

Seems like a half dozen or so. Football is great and the most popular US sport, but it doesn’t work year round.

I do not BikeMike. One league is enough to watch.

I didn’t realize they were in that pace. We will need Fernandez and Robertson to step up then. I think both have the stuff to be good RP

Oh man, thought that was the double play ball. Two on, one out now.

I would have thrown at least one of the other guys today so I could have one of the big 3 tomorrow. But I definitely understand wanting to throw your best guys when ahead. It’s just that over the long run it potentially makes them less effective.

And as I write that, Helsley now in some trouble.
