Arenado – Is hit with a pitch on his upper left arm, but fortunately that appeared to hit all meat and no bone….and he looks none the worse for the experience as he trots on down to 1st base.
Goldy – On 3-2 he takes a pitch high and inside and we get a couple of freebies to get the ball rolling here in the top of the 2nd inning…..need to take advantage of Butto’s gratuitous offerings here.
Burleson- Burly muscles up and whacks it high and deep to right and this one is going to make Shady a happy camper as it’s long gone….3-0 Cards.
Gorman – Grounds it to Lindor who had him playing up the middle and he bobbles it but quickly picks it up and fires it to 1st to just barely nip the streaking Nolan Gorman.
Crawford – Lofts a fly to short left field over near the line and Nimmo is not going to catch up with this one as it falls in for a hit.
Siani- Strikes out swinging.
Donovan- Grounds it hard, but right at Alonso at 1st ….and he’ll take it unassisted over to the bag.

I am outta here now. Going to hit the tub and soak my aching back. Then me and Whitey Herdog are going to light up a 7×50 Palma Real Presidente cigar and watch the Reds at Texas. We will be monitoring the score from Shea Stadium.

By all means, the more the merrier, Rat. I need all of the help I can get.
Quinn Mathews already at 5 K’s in 2 innings at Palm Beach. He has been striking out everyone in his starts.
Memphis won today with Robberse throwing another nice game. 7 innings and 2 earned runs. Loutos is having a nice run so far with an ERA of 1.04 while working at the end of games for Memphis. If our bullpen hadn’t been so good so far, then he’d be a potential roster add call-up.
JJ – Mikolas typically has very little run support. I think I heard he has had zero run support in 40% of his starts.

Contreras – Oh My oh my!…..the big guy tees off on one to left….fore!!! Hope the fans out in those bleachers are wearing hard hats as they may need it and that baby is long long gone and just like that it’s 4-0 Good Guys.
Nooty – On 3-2 he’s caught gazing for strike 3.
Arenado- Taps a little nubber out in front of home plate that Butto races in to grab and he’ll throw it on over to Alonso’s waiting mitt at 1st for the out.
Goldy – Drills a shot to center that our old pal Harrison Bader races in and makes a nice diving catch to rob his ex-mate of a hit.

Mets 0Nido with a ground rule double after he barely stays alive on a strike 3 foul tip. Mikolas makes a good pitch but Nido hits it where he threw it.
FWIW – Mikolas looked like the best I’ve seen him that inning. Very sharp pitches with movement on the corners. The double was a bit lucky.

Gorman – Hits it on the ground straight out to McNeil at 2nd and he’ll glove it and make the short throw to Alonso at 1st base for the out.
Crawford – Hits it a respectful distance to center where Bader will glide on over a few strides towards left field and haul it in to retire the side and for the first time this evening the Cardinals pose Mr. Butto no difficulties in an inning.
