I was wondering about Cabrera since he didn’t start last night. If he had started he wouldn’t be available for 3 more days at least. Also curious if Mayers would have been added had last nights game not been rained out. These double double headers create an “all hands on deck” type of situation.

Cards seize a 3-2 1st inning advantage on a DeJong double and a Van Meter miscue…..now Yadi spanks a liner to left for a hit that will plate DeJong increasing the lead to 4-2…..and boy did the Tribe know when to part ways with Bauer….take note Mo….do NOT trade with Cleveland this winter or they’ll fleece you.

Say a little prayer for the Crew this afternoon as we really need them to somehow derail the cubbies in Wrigley today. Hudson breezes thru the 3rd with no blemishes and the Birds will float on in to the bottom of the 2nd carrying a 4-2 lead.

Good recovery for Hudson. Made the mistake of falling behind a power hitter in the first. No mistakes in the second.

Reds announcers just said it’s been since 1968 when they played twin bills on successive days…..that sure was a great year for baseball though wasn’t it? I wonder what year it was when we played back-to-back double features? Back in the 70’s, I don’t think they had these split twin bills…..you paid one price of admission and that enabled you to get one whale of a bang for your buck.

I can’t remember how long it was in between games back then…..I want to say about 45 minutes.

Well, Addams, your wish was granted as the boys came out swinging! Here’s my wish: Carp to hit one off his big toe and go hopping off to the training room!

Geesh these Cardinal ballboys today look older than our owner….what’s with that…..now Yadi yanks a solo shot and where did his recent power surge come from??? They do say a man reaches his optimum strength at around 40 and this certainly seems to be thed case with Yadi. I think it may be a titch late for Yadi to make a run at this year’s NL home run crown, but watch out for next year.

Danny Mac really came off as unprofessional in the top of the 2nd trash talking Cardinals employees. He should take his own advice and shut up.

Well, that’s twice that I’ve hoped that Carp or Edman would get on to get the last at bat to Hudson. Twice, Carp fouled to third. Twice, Edman lined to center. Coincidence.

I’d love to somehow wrestle this Suarez away from Cincy…..Suarez and Kluber to St. Louis in 2020….let’s get them.

Hudson has really really improved his game over what we were witnessing out of him before the A.S. break. I wonder what turned the corner for him as he’s like a totally different pitcher. Sets the Redlegs down in order once again in the 4th. 6-2 Cards.

55 pitches through four. Hudson should go at least 7 at this rate.

I feel your pain. I get the Reds’ feed and boy do they tell it like it is when the Reds mess up. D. Mac and the rest of our TV crew bend over backwards toeing the company line making endless excuses for our failings.

Didn’t you and I talk about Deadwood/Lead a couple of years back? Was that you?

Dexter gets easily nailed at 3rd on thed double steal attempt. I really don’t like the move in this situation…
    especially since it didn’t work.

I think we let Bauer off the hook with the double steal attempt. He was struggling with control, and it would be nice to force them to pull him with back-to-back double-headers.

We sure did, RememberDiz. That one move infused new life into this Reds team.

Love runnin’ Redbirds…keep those Reds off-balance. And I love the bunt! (when the other team does it)

If he wasn’t in a contract year, no way Marcell makes that nice running catch….we’d have Reds still running around the bases as we speak.

I sure hope Bauer gets his act together before the Reds play the cubbies again.

A lot of primo empty seats today behind home plate…..what a waste of great seats.
