Miller totally imploded.
Miller has been bad for some time. Cost us at least 3 games down the stretch
September 27, 2019 at 10:34 pm #108916Goldy notches another horrible night at the plate in his belt.

Participantwell miller did what he almost always does, just totally blow it. I guess it just put us out of our misery. outside of edman and carpenter, nobody has a hit. yea bader struggles continue and Martinez looked bad striking out but those guys aren’t making the big bucks, you don’t expect them to carry the team or drive in the big runs or get the big outs. fowler, goldy, ozuna, dejong, miller, all guys getting big dough to produce aren’t getting it done. yea the brewers are losing but we should have taken advantage and letting a cubs team without a lot of its big stars come in here and kick our buts its just so wrong.
September 27, 2019 at 10:37 pm #108918I am concerned that some of the Cardinals key relief pitchers are showing signs of wearing down. Does anyone else feel this way or am I just getting paranoid?

Participantwell just one big fly by dejong and its closer. …
September 27, 2019 at 10:39 pm #108920You’re right 1964. I don’t know if I’ve called it out here but this has been a concern of mine since June. Let’s go Paul. Big hit here please

There’s no feel to it, 64. You can see it, so you’re right. Tonight is a good example. Hudson throws five shutout innings. The shutout part is great, but five innings doesn’t hack it over the long run.
September 27, 2019 at 10:43 pm #108922Willie when has Carpenter hit? He has been awful at the plate this year.

Participantoh the tension
September 27, 2019 at 10:43 pm #10892411-6 Rockies 1 out in 9th bases loaded

Participantwell colhusker in this game carp has hit well, I was being specific to tonight. but you are right about him this year
September 27, 2019 at 10:45 pm #108926Rockies are getting Cardinalitis…. trying to give the game to the Brewers
September 27, 2019 at 10:46 pm #108927Brewers ended up with the tying run on deck, but the Rockies hang on for the win, 11-7.
September 27, 2019 at 10:46 pm #108928Cardinals doing a little chirping of their own here in their half of this extremely busy 7th inning. Bases bubbling over with Birds with 2 outs and a run in. Let’s stay with the action shall we?
DeJong – It took Wick 11 pitches to do it, but he finally induces Paul into flying out to center.
Rockies holding an 11-7 9th inning advantage…..now it’s gone final….11-7 our fortunate final in Denver.
September 27, 2019 at 10:46 pm #108929Rockies win 11-7
September 27, 2019 at 10:51 pm #108930Cards magic number down to two.
September 27, 2019 at 10:55 pm #108932I don’t know what it is about the first name “Robaire”, but if the next kid my daughter has is a boy, then I’ll insist he be christened with that name….heck maybe even if it’s a girl too….naw maybe that wouldn’t be a fit.

Participantwell we got waino on the mound tomorrow. im pretty confident about him. been a huge fan since the start. we are still gonna have to score though.
September 27, 2019 at 11:14 pm #108934The only suspense remaining tonight is how many points did Rat’s Jasper squad get throttled by?
September 27, 2019 at 11:35 pm #108938That wasn’t so bad. Two more days like today and the Cards will be division champs.
September 27, 2019 at 11:37 pm #108939So I realize Helsley was bad but what do you expect when you have him warming 3 different times? Not only that but its a great way to prematurely end a pitchers career. See Siegrist, Kevin and Maness, Seth and Bowman, Matt.
September 28, 2019 at 3:13 am #108940Pretty awful way to wake up this morning. I think I’ll just go back to bed and pull the covers over my head.
September 28, 2019 at 6:04 am #108943It’ll be ok, CardinalinFrance. You guys should be preparing for din-din soon in your beautiful neck of the woods…..that should snap you out of your funk. Besides, we are going to need you on tonight’s game thread. Look at the bright side. With what occured in baseball last night, it did wonders for our Cardinals chances for winning the division.

Amen to that. It got to the point of muting the whole thing and watching the game. Do the Blues give this much time to the Cardinals during their broadcasts? Doubtful. Danny Mac is a died in the wool Blues fan and we will never hear the end of this championship.

Nm, Martinez has gone into a funk as well at the end of the season and is undisciplined swinging at trash. >
Actually not in a recent funk, seeing that he has two triples and a double in his past few games but that was a lousy swing at a ball in his eyes with the bases loaded. He is a good hitter but not playing much has tended to kill his hitting ability. He was a great pinch hitter at one time but that seems to have slowed. In any case, he is working cheap………..LOL
