ah dave he was pinch hit for because we had the bases loaded. worked out but was right call even if it didn’t.
our big guys just aren’t squaring up the ball at all this series. phelps is a little tough to square but most of the others aren’t.
Just was not himself today, Dave. I know his pitch count was elevated, but I’m not sure how many he lodged.
When guys like DeJong and Bader get 2 strikes on them, you pretty much unequivocally know what the end result of the at bat is going to be…..but Bader is battling Phelps this time with 2 strikes on him….and then goes down swinging.
well disappointment again. just have to think right field once you hit two strikes and scoot up to the plate a bit. that’s the one thing that bothers me about hitters today. none of them adjust themselves in the box based on situation anymore. basically they just hope for a mistake

that’s unacceptable, should be taken out right now. a pitcher learns that in little league or on the playgrounds even.
With guys like Cabby and Fernandez, it must be like dad coming out to the mound for a chat when Yadi goes out there….praying like heck that they do not get scolded……or in some extreme cases, even grounded.

Cabby does his job. Both Cabby and Fernandez look like dandies….not quite as dandy as our own Euro Dandy, but sort of in his same league.
It’s 1055 p.m. And we were invited out for lunch with friends. Something called coronation chicken and rice.
