Since Scott is hitting better, why isn’t Walker being corrected the same way? Maybe he is and it’s starting to show with his recent improved performance?
I haven’t looked into Scott’s monthly splits in Memphis, so I don’t know if he’s been hitting better. Nothing much can be said about a handful of PAs since he was called up.
Scott and Walker are opposites as far as the type of hitter. The idea that the Cardinals org would try to fix them the same way seems unlikely. But still, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised. We do need guys to pan out, so hoping for the best.
Ryan Ludwick told Scott he needed to be more athletic at the plate. Scott added the leg kick. That started his resurgence. Personally, I think psychological therapy would be more beneficial to most of these players than hitting instructors.
