When you look at it that way, with the choice between Arizona or Sacramento, the D’backs look better all the time!
The NYM just traded for 1/46.2mil of Luis Roberts Jr., 110% tax included. FG had his value at 10.2mil last season.
All team spending is not alike, as GS notes.
An expensive acquisition with a ton of risk, unless you are the NYM. It’s just money, for the evil empires. Take a flier, see if you need another at the deadline.
Bader-tot may be out of reach of our budget, but why would he come here anyway?
Bloom will probably hire somebody he can painlessly dfa or waive at some point. See who is floating around a month from now. Somebody to get us through April and May. He should want guys at AAA to see a wide open field if they are good enough to get there.
