Good news there on Miles. Hopefully he can rebound to more like 2018 Miles than 2019. That would be a big boost to the rotation.
Why does there have to be one? With a condensed schedule, there should be opportunity for innings for everyone.
It is not too complicated to envision, but it will all depend on the schedule details. If you have one double header every five days, for example, then you would need a six-man rotation all season long.
Unfortunately, this does not require a new thread. I should be able to find out within a few hours who the taxi squad replacement is.
We have activated RHP Giovanny Gallegos from the Injured List and recalled RHP Jake Woodford from our Alternate Training Site.

Sounds like some surgery might be on the way for Mikolas. It’s a blow to the starting depth. Hopefully Kim will go back into the rotation now. Maybe Gomber will be the guy though.
My guess would be Cabrera being added to taxi squad. Or maybe Oviedo, but he would have to added to the 40 man roster.

1) Depends if he is ready after reporting late.
2) Maybe Oviedo. No, he would not have to be added to the 40-man, unless activated to be among St. Louis’ 30. No different from Schrock, who is the other taxi squadder.
Think of the taxi squad as minor leaguers/alternate camp players who are just traveling with the big-league team.

I’m tempted to say that Mikolas is done for…. maybe Hicks also. The reason I won’t is because Reyes who was the prince of the IL is finally giving this team some solid effectiveness. So the two aforementioned could possibly return and help us out.
