    Maybe they tried and had to settle for less.

    As I am a firm believer that we don’t always know what they attempt to do, I can settle for this to be true. However, I also feel that we have enough minor league prospects and major league talent that we should be able to acquire a player like Matt Thaiss or Colton Welker (although Gorman may make Welker a non-target).

    I just don’t think the Cardinals front office is very good at negotiating.

    Seems like the best prospects move for the better major leaguers. Gotta give to get.
