October 18, 2022 at 8:30 am #204806I notice that if Lawlar is in the lineup with Winn, Winn primarily moves off the position. Is that because Lawlar is the priority prospect, or because he’s the better defender?
October 18, 2022 at 9:03 am #204811I am not aware of other organization’s priority players. I have to ask the Cardinals every year for theirs, though if one tracked playing time, it could become obvious.
Lawlar is a consensus top 20 prospect in baseball so it is not surprising he is the regular SS, priority player or not.
Winn spending some time at 2B is good for his development, anyway, IMO. So I don’t consider it a bad thing.

to Conner Thomas after yesterday’s performance?October 19, 2022 at 4:03 am #204906Should we be paying more attention
to Conner Thomas after yesterday’s performance? It seems likely that few or none of his strikeout victims matches his two years of AAA experience. He has a K/9 around 8 in AAA.

October 19, 2022 at 7:53 am #204919Winn proved last night why he needs to be in CF with that kind of speed and arm strength. It is the position that best maximizes his strengths.
October 19, 2022 at 9:13 am #204928PadsFSParticipantWinn is looking like the real deal in the AFL. His line is now .360/.556/.480/1.036. Much improved after his stint in AA.
October 19, 2022 at 9:36 am #204931It got lost in the other thread, but Keith Law described how much fun to watch Winn is. That he plays at a different speed than others on the field. It’s exciting to think about his potential…reminds me of Frankie Lindor.
October 19, 2022 at 7:15 pm #204977Another take on Winn from Arizona.

BB – Let’s see how Thomas does his next time out. Maybe his AFL coaches have taught him a few things.
Well, he has kept it up over several more outings. I am kind of surprised but it’s good news.
November 2, 2022 at 9:54 am #205885bccranParticipantLooks like Walker stole 3B on a double steal, then Antico stole 3B solo. They’re having some fun.
Does anyone know how Antico and Deluzio compare?
