No Cardinals are participating in Saturday’s AFL Home Run Derby.
In this afternoon's Salt River at Peoria Arizona Fall League game, the only #STLCards starter is catcher Pedro Pages, batting seventh. pic.twitter.com/Iz9cNbGeGP

November 2, 2022 at 1:07 pm #205899Heads up for your weekend TV viewing plans. Sunday's Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game has been moved up four hours, from 6 pm MST (local time) to 2 pm MST. Likely avoiding conflict with potential Game 7 of the World Series Sunday night. pic.twitter.com/9SUvNULEf8

stlcard25ParticipantBW, are you in Arizona this week? If so, looking forward to your reports!
November 2, 2022 at 2:59 pm #205901Yes, I am.

ParticipantHope you get a chance to see Thomas pitch.
November 3, 2022 at 5:27 am #205955Assuming the market knows Walker and Winn are off limits, Tink Hence will likely be the 1st name out of other GM’s mouths in trade talks this off-season.
November 3, 2022 at 8:34 am #205958Hence is the most off limits for me due tô lack of other high ceiling pitching prospects
November 3, 2022 at 9:21 am #205959Salt River lost to Peoria in Wednesday Arizona Fall League action. Pedro Pages was the only #STLCards player in the starting lineup and went 0-for-3, reached on a throwing error and walked. Tink Hence pitched a scoreless inning out of the bullpen. November 3, 2022 at 5:46 pm #205988Three #STLCards prospects in tonight's starting lineup for Salt River at Mesa. SS Masyn Winn leading off. RF Jordan Walker batting third and CF Mike Antico hitting seventh. pic.twitter.com/VpFG1EQ4su

November 4, 2022 at 9:44 am #206029Before the game, I asked Antico about his power, so I am taking credit for the long ball.
😉Salt River was walked off by Mesa in AFL action Thursday night. #stlcards CF Mike Antico hit his third AFL HR, walked twice and stole a base. Jordan Walker (RBI) and Masyn Winn (steal) had two hits apiece and Ryan Loutos had a perfect IP with 3 Ks. (free) https://t.co/dLMGXcAmsJ pic.twitter.com/EASrUk2wxl

November 4, 2022 at 10:28 am #206031Four Cardinals, as I predicted. Walker, Winn, Thomas and Hence. Strong showing.
Tink Hence (STL) and Antonio Menendez (TB) have been added as active participants to the Arizona Fall League roster! #AFL22

ParticipantHasn’t Pages also been added?
November 4, 2022 at 1:15 pm #206039Haven’t seen that, bccran. What is your source?
November 4, 2022 at 1:15 pm #206040In this afternoon's Salt River AFL game at Surprise, three #stlcards prospects are starting. Batting 2nd is SS Masyn Winn, CF Jordan Walker at cleanup and C Pedro Pages batting 7th. pic.twitter.com/dr7gD0naZH

ParticipantSorry, Brian. It was the wrong Pages that someone passed along. They made a mistake. They saw Pages and thought it was a Cardinal. It was actually Andy Pages.
November 4, 2022 at 3:36 pm #206042Funny you should mention Pedro. For some reason, in two different stadiums so far, they are pronouncing his name backwards – PAY-haas instead of PAH-hays.
November 4, 2022 at 4:05 pm #206044Setting up the #STLCards' participants in Sunday's @MLBazFallLeague Fall Stars Game – OF Jordan Walker, SS Masyn Winn, LHS Connor Thomas and RHR Tink Hence. (free) https://t.co/34Uz4Kz2wu pic.twitter.com/wgG5D1e6B0

ParticipantGood at bat by Walker. Gets behind on the count 0-2 and takes 4 straight balls without biting. Nice plate discipline.
November 4, 2022 at 7:17 pm #206049Congrats to those four guys
November 5, 2022 at 8:09 am #206065Salt River lost to Surprise in Friday AFL action. #stlcards C prospect Pedro Pages singled, doubled and drove in one. Jordan Walker was 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored. Masyn Winn was 0-for-5 with three strikeouts. Mike Antico pinch ran. (free) https://t.co/8ewgEp9etu pic.twitter.com/U0HADTo5y2

November 5, 2022 at 3:17 pm #206112Loutos hás pitched like an all star since opening with a couple of bad games
November 5, 2022 at 7:15 pm #206133Loutos hás pitched like an all star
He has, and he has some swing and miss, which I understand Mo is looking for. It would be something to see a Division 3 guy make it to the show. Hopefully he can spend most of next year in AAA, but my hunch he will be up fairly early once guys start hitting the IL or peppering the backstop.
November 5, 2022 at 11:10 pm #206154One more reason to watch Sunday afternoon's Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game is that #STLCards LHP prospect Connor Thomas is the starting pitcher for the NL team. The 24-year-old leads the AFL with 31 strikeouts (in 22 2/3 innings) against just four walks and has a 1.59 ERA. pic.twitter.com/g0yeZ0dSwZ

November 6, 2022 at 6:36 am #206159We like our 6-12 guy with 5.47 ERA and 1.570 WHIP better than our 12-4 guy with 4.31 ERA and 1.172 WHIP.
Meanwhile, there is a good chance we will hit opening day with a rotation consisting of zero guys drafted and developed in house. We’ll see what happens I guess.

I realize that there’s very little chance to convince you otherwise, but Parsons’ 2022 was entirely smoke and mirrors. His previous two full year ERAs were over 5, and had he not run an insanely low batting average on balls in play (his .200 mark is about 15% lower than the MLB best mark this year for any pitcher), he would have been in the same position with Memphis. I’m glad he had a solid year, but there’s a much greater chance that those two switch positions next year in the stat line than that they remain in the same place.
