The Salt River Rafters lost to the Peoria Javelinas on Friday. Starting center fielder Mike Antico was the only Cardinal who saw action. Antico was 0-for-2 with a walk, a steal and two strikeouts.

Only one Cardinal saw action for Salt River in Friday’s seven-inning loss..
Mike Antico started in center field and hit eighth for the Rafters. In his first plate appearance in the second inning, Antico drew a walk and stole a base. He was left stranded on third base.
Antico came to the plate again in the fourth inning and struck out swinging. In the sixth, the center fielder struck out for the second time, making the final out of the inning. This was Antico’s final plate appearance in the game.
The Rafters scored their only run in the final inning of the game on a sacrifice fly.
Salt River is 9-13 on the season.
