At least with White Sox-Guardians one of them will advance, and I like both clubs. I wish that was the ALDS, but one of them will get there.
October 3, 2026 at 1:35 pm #320213People here in my state are interested in the White Sox right now since they have two ex-Razorbacks on the roster in Hagen Smith and Andrew Benintendi.
I am still pulling for a Rays-Brewers world series just to stick it to Manfred. I know that he is pulling for the Dodgers and Yankees in order to boost his case for the ill-fated salary cap.
October 3, 2026 at 2:18 pm #320218It’s now 3-0 WhiteSox in the top of the 7th.
October 3, 2026 at 2:42 pm #320220This 5 arm pitching conglomerate has been pretty effective for the White Sox today as they’ve combined to work a 3 hit shutout thru 7 innings. The Indians are getting dangerously low on outs.
October 3, 2026 at 2:44 pm #320221I just now noticed that Grichuk has managed to accumulate 227 career HR’s. That’s not too bad.
October 3, 2026 at 2:45 pm #320222It’s still 3-0 WhiteSox heading to the top of the 9th now.
October 3, 2026 at 2:51 pm #320223If the White Sox can make this 3-0 lead stand up it’ll be their 3rd consecutive post-season W with all 3 of those W’s coming on the road.
October 3, 2026 at 2:59 pm #320224The South Siders hang on for the 3-0 win over the Indians.
They have an off day tomorrow so that will help the bullpen be refreshed again.
October 3, 2026 at 3:05 pm #320226I’ll be darned. I wasn’t aware they were idle tomorrow. I don’t know if that’s a good thing when the W’s are coming. If train’s rolling in the right direction, keep up the head of steam.
October 3, 2026 at 4:17 pm #320231Sox with a big win on the road, and shutting out the Guards no less.
Am switching back and forth here between Wyoming – North Dakota State and Dodgers – Braves. Teoscar Hernandez breaks a scoreless tie in the 4th, 2-0 LA.
In the football game it is 17-0 ND State at the half. Wyoming’s defense has been pretty good, but no offense and a big turnover has the Bison in front. Not a fluke by any means. ND State looks like the better team.
October 3, 2026 at 4:21 pm #320232Hernandez stands in the box to admire the entire flight path of a 2 run tater to deep LCF to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead in the home half of the 4th at Dodger Stadium. He loitered in the batter’s box and just stared at that tater and didn’t move until it had come to rest as a souvenir. It wasn’t too very long ago that behavior such as that wasn’t tolerated. In any event, he annihilated that 1-1 pitch from Dodd.
October 3, 2026 at 4:35 pm #320234I see plenty of empty seats at the illustrious Dodger abode. And quite a few of those empty seats are situated directly behind HP in an area that many baseball fans only dream of watching from. Especially during a post-season game. I always agreed with Bill Veeck’s point of view on the seating arrangement at the ball park…”I have discovered in 20 years of moving around a ball park that the knowledge of the game of baseball is usually in inverse proportion to the price of the seats.”
October 3, 2026 at 4:41 pm #320235Murphy and the Braves finally break through against Skubal with a solo tater to cut the Dodger lead in half in the visitor half of the 6th at Dodger Stadium.
October 3, 2026 at 4:48 pm #320236I’d say the Dodgers possess a far less than porous IF with Freemen, Edman, Betts and Muncy. I can’t detect any oven mitts out there.
October 3, 2026 at 4:51 pm #320237Skubal escapes a dicey 2 out situation with 2 baserunners aboard and Olson standing in. On to the home half of the 6th in a tight post-season game at Dodger Stadium.
Edit…It’s an incredibly gorgeous Oct. Saturday here in StL. I can recall a time when they were still building the pyramids when watching this game would have given me the urge to grab my mitt and head outdoors into the sunshine to conjure up an afternoon session of indian ball or hot box…Those were the days, as they say.

October 3, 2026 at 5:00 pm #320239Now Tucker extends the Dodger lead to 4-1 with a towering 2 run tater to RF in the home half of the 6th at Dodger Stadium.
October 3, 2026 at 5:04 pm #320240Now Muncy with an almost carbon copy solo tater to RF to make it a 5-1 6th inning Dodger lead. Dodgers with too much firepower all across the board.
Edit…And then they hand the baseball to Yamamoto, Skubal or some other ringer. The torture never stops with these guys.

October 3, 2026 at 5:47 pm #320242Uhh, ohh…Acuna Jr. gives the Braves a legitimate chance as he rips a 2 run tater to LCF to make it a 5-3 game with 0 outs in the visitor half of the 9th at Dodger Stadium. It’s never easy in this game and no lead is ever safe until it’s in the books.
October 3, 2026 at 5:49 pm #320243Too little too late as the Dodgers hang on for a 5-3 W to take 1-0 lead in this best of 5 NLDS. On to Tampa Bay for the Yankees/Rays game 1.
October 3, 2026 at 5:56 pm #320244Dem Bums take the opener although the Braves battled back. Was thinking that many moons ago these two franchises had a playoff for the pennant when the Braves called Milwaukee home. This time it is only for a chance at the pennant.
October 3, 2026 at 6:02 pm #320246I’m sure you also recall the Dodgers/Braves being division rivals in the old ALW, Bikemike. The Braves barely held on to eke out the Dodgers by 1 game in that division before they met our own Cardinals in the ’82 NLCS.
October 3, 2026 at 6:48 pm #320248I never understood the National League divisions back in the 12 team days. It seemed to me that us and the Cubs should have been in the west, with the Braves and Reds in the east.

October 3, 2026 at 8:01 pm #320255Yeah, it didn’t make a lot of geographical sense, Bikemike. I also grew weary of getting trounced by the Phillies and Pirates back in the 70’s. Even the Expos were a headache for several seasons during that era. In any case, if it weren’t for that old NLE setup there never would have been the Cardinals/Mets blood fued of the 80’s so I guess it turned out okay.
October 3, 2026 at 8:01 pm #320256Rays Drew Rasmussen lost a no-hitter with two out in the eighth, but they lead the Yankees 1-0 with three outs to go.
