Mesa delivers a 2 out, 2 run tater to break a 2-2 tie and lift the Rays to a 4-2 lead over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. I’ll keep saying it…Those 2 out RBI’s are murder on the opposition.
October 7, 2026 at 9:15 pm #320679Crazy doings at Yankee Stadium with a replay review pending regarding a Volpe 2 run tater that may have not been a 2 run tater due to possible fan interference coming from the top of the LF wall.

ParticipantWell homerun was called a double with the run scoring which makes sense being he was running with 2 outs. Stupid fans. Game was 4-3, next batter just swings wildly at 3 straught pitches, two of them no where near the strike zone. Some guys should just go home and start working off the T.
October 7, 2026 at 9:21 pm #320681Steve Bartman redux.
October 7, 2026 at 9:38 pm #320682There’s that commercial with that little blonde multi-sports girl along with all of her nice sporting equipment again. The footballs are my favorite however, all of her sporting equipment looks to be first rate…In any event, she really seems to enjoy sports.
October 7, 2026 at 9:43 pm #320683The Yankees’ out gauge is near on E.
October 7, 2026 at 9:49 pm #320684Brewers break thru to take a 1-0 lead over the Padres on a 1 out RBI single from Mitchell in the visitor half of the 3rd inning at SD.
October 7, 2026 at 9:57 pm #320685Tatis taters up with a solo HR in the home half of the 3rd inning to lock this game into a 1-1 tie in SD.
October 7, 2026 at 10:04 pm #320686If you think Redbird attendance is suffering keep in mind that the Rays won the ALE by placing 97 W’s into the books this season and were still only able to click the turnstiles a shade over 1.4M times which was second to being dead last in the AL. If that were Willie Jr’s team, he’d move them to Little Rock…

ParticipantThe ideal of just bitting tbe ball hard up the middle just never occurs to yankees hitters.

ParticipantWell thats a wrap. Game ends with a strikeout of grisom, not sure spelling. He should be let go immediately. I dont really understand having a guy who strikes out almost all the time as your leadoff hitter. I think any random person in the stands would have looked the same as him in this series esp tonight. But oh well. I wouldnt mind seeing rays win. Still might get that rays brewers series.
October 7, 2026 at 10:26 pm #320691The Yankees are calling in tee time reservations as the Rays lower the broom at Yankee Stadium with a 4-3 W and an ALDS sweep to advance to the ALCS.
October 7, 2026 at 10:32 pm #320692You may get that WS matchup, Willie. I hadn’t seen any of the Rays but they looked really good to me during this 3 game ALCS. And we all saw plenty enough of the Brewers during the regular season to know they’re a very good baseball team.
October 8, 2026 at 12:00 am #320699Besides the inaccurate throws by every catcher in these NLDS games, there have been few exceptional catches by second baseman.
Three outs needed in the bottom of the 9th. Hopefully, no surprises.
October 8, 2026 at 12:11 am #320700It seems like everybody and his brother thought this series win belonged to the Padrrs, even 3 of the four pregame announcers.
Series MVP has to be Churio for that walk-off hit in game three.
October 8, 2026 at 12:13 am #320701And the Brewers advance to face the Dodgers with a 3-1 W over the Padres in SD. With 203 W’s between these 2 formidable baseball teams, the ’26 NLCS should provide some first rate post-season action.
October 8, 2026 at 12:15 am #320702I wasn’t aware that they awarded a MVP in a LDS.
October 8, 2026 at 7:19 am #320705They haven’t announced the time yet for Sunday’s Game 1 in Milwaukee, but it will most likely be an evening affair as they won’t want to compete with the bulk of the NFL slate and especially with the Packers-Bears game at high noon in GB. Hopefully it will start at 5pm. Since it’s a Sunday, if it starts at 7pm, I think I’ll wimp out and stay home. I’m praying this series has a Game 7.
October 8, 2026 at 11:17 am #320731I assume Game #1 will be Skubal and Misiorowski.
Could be quite interesting and entertaining.
October 8, 2026 at 1:37 pm #320749I would have never guessed that there were that many, but a total of 10 teams have overcome an 0-2 deficit in a best of 5 postseason series to advance. The one that always stands out to me is the Cubs/Padres ’84 NLCS, but I wouldn’t have been able to name any of the 9 others off the top of my head. In any event, with a W today in CHI, the Indians can assure themselves of a game 5 at home in CLE, so I’d have to say that the White Sox are feeling a bit of pressure concerning the need to conclude this NLDS this evening in CHI.
October 8, 2026 at 3:29 pm #320754I kind of thought those Guardians would at least make their series interesting. Whether they can make the comeback time will tell, but they are a tough club and after all had a better record than the Chicago Americans.
I want to see the White Sox win it, but am okay with Cleveland as well.
Meanwhile Yankee fans are calling for Aaron Boone’s head, and some for Cashman as well.
October 8, 2026 at 3:47 pm #320761I’m more than a little surprised that Boone has survived for 9 years in NY.
October 8, 2026 at 8:00 pm #320772Hal is much more patient than George was. Had George still been in charge Boone would have been gone quite awhile ago.

October 8, 2026 at 9:32 pm #320775That’s a combined 13 BB’s in this baseball game and we’re only 1 out into the visitor half of the 6th inning. Lots of slop in these pitching performances tonight. I’m guessing that the Dodgers/Brewers will feature a bit less slop.
October 8, 2026 at 9:35 pm #320776The Indians really on the warpath up in CHI as they’ve pushed 6 runs across HP and are still batting in the visitor half of the 6th to extend their lead to a commanding 9-4 lead over the White Sox.
