Well i watched his video from off of mlb network i believe. Seems to have all the cobfidence, but most young kids do. Will be a wait n see. Lots of guys look great and are great in high school.

The s in HTTPs just means it a secured connection between you and the website and people anywhere in the world can’t see the data you and sending to / from the website as it is encrypted. Never use a non HTTPs site for anything personal info, cards numbers, passwords, etc and in general steer clear of them as all sites should be https now.
But the s doesn’t verify the integrity of the website itself. It could still go to a malicious site that uses secure end to end encryption, but the site hosts are trying to collect info and sell it or use it for malicious purposes.

Kuhns turned down seven-figure overtures from multiple big league clubs in the 2024 Draft before ultimately going unselected. He tired down the stretch of his freshman season at Tennessee before looking spectacular in three Cape Cod League starts last summer. One of the top sophomore-eligible pitching prospects in the 2026 crop, he’s making a push for the first round by heating up after a slow start. Kuhns spins the ball very well, producing good carry on a fastball that parks at 93-96 mph and peaks at 98 and downer break on an upper-70s curveball. Both are plus offerings and they can become more formidable if they add more power as he continues to fill out his 6-foot-3 frame. He has struggled to find a reliable third pitch, scrapping his upper-80s cutter while still struggling to land his mid-80s changeup or low-80s slider for strikes. Kuhns has the ingredients to pitch in the front half of a rotation. He’s doing a better of job of repeating his athletic delivery as he gets stronger, which also could help him develop a more dependable third option. He battled his control and command for much of his freshman season but pounded the zone on the Cape and has continued to do so this spring.
So far, I am liking this draft a lot better than previous years.
Their three biggest weaknesses heading into the draft were pitching, outfield and 3B, and they addressed the first two with their first two picks.
Questions about Condon include size, power and swing mechanics.
Questions about Kunhs are pitch repertoire. But I like that he was a draft-eligible sophomore.
I love the Kuhn pick. He turned down 7 figure offers last season to go unselected. Condon I’m on the fence about. Prep position players seem like they don’t make it. Oh well, I hope I’m wrong.
I am going with Kuhns as my sleeper pick of this draft. He just looks like he has the all raw materials.
As we all know the draft is a crap shoot. Anybody can take an optimistic guess. I’ve done a completely unscientific analysis of my guesses and I think I’ right about 40% of the time.
I like the Kuhns pick as well Mud. Lots to build on there.
Condon probably struggles to hit for a bit after Low A as they work on his swing. Perhaps they can make him into a great player in 4 years or so.
Rocco has a lot of upside as he is a great defender and has power. But he does have massive swing and miss risk. He wasn’t one of my favorite HS guys as I liked a few guys with hit to go with power but I do like that they went for upside.
I don’t know much on him. Sounds like a Bloom / Cerfolio pick though that tracks with last year’s picks. A guy with good traits but not much of a track record and has pen risk. Seems like they are betting on him improving since he is still 20 and low on experience against good competition.
Montessa is interesting…he pitched at Adelphi then transferred to West Va. and wasn’t great during the regular season, but he was outstanding in there Regional College World Series games that I saw.
So far I’m sort of just ok with the picks. I get the process and I trust it, but I’m also not seeing anything that looks like a sure star coming from the most important draft we’ve had in years. I’ll be curious to see how the development team works with these guys to try to find some future big league help there.
Not a fan of drafting a DH type player in the first 3 -4 rounds, but no doubt Ferraro can hit maybe as good as anyone in this draft.. but I don’t see him anything but a DH.
