Had to work 3 really nice pitches to get a called 3rd strike. SF oughta’ have to begin the 6th with 1 out.

The two big bankrolls in the NL are both worse off in the standings than are the Redbirds. The Mets and Padres are 9.5 and 8.5 back respectively in the divisions in which they’re situated.

Welp, is this gonna be the one that starts the proverbial rolling of heads? It’s almost inevitable that they will find a way to lose at this point.

If this were a movie script you wouldn’t believe it.

    Poor Montgomery doesn’t deserve this,

YGTBSM! Never count out our opponents even if they’re down to their last strike.

This is customary and common. All you do is wait for it to take place.

Now we get Matz. This should be something to see.

I’d be flame throwing in the clubhouse after this game if I were Montgomery. After this loss.

Well, on the sunny side there’s only about 10,000 fans in their seats watching this nonsense.

I said 10,000. Looks more like about 7,500.

On a good note…..Milwaukee lost again at Minnestota. Now if the Cubs can beat the Pirates again we still haven’t lost any ground.

This idea of putting a man on second in the 10th smacks of Little League.

Matz may have less movement than the Venus de Milo.

Surely nobody can be surprised by this.

Final in 10 innings is 8-5 Giants.

Again, we could still only be eight games out at COB tonight.

There is still a glimmer of hope.

And I agree, I would like to see Marmol let go immediately.

To paraphrase a line from National Treasure…”someone’s got to be fired, Ben.”

I was thinking the previous Redbird nadir may have been during the early 90’s, but was told the Cardinals haven’t been 15 games under .500 this late in the season since June of 1978. When you get to be my age, 45 years ago doesn’t seem that long ago…

He says he’s “Fairly confident.” This guy’s a genuine embarrassment to the Cardinal franchise. Someone has to be able to recognize that as a fact.

With our bullpen we need at least 5 more runs. At least.

Sorry to be Nostradamus but you just knew it would happen.

Yeah, I was “fairly confident” that it would.

Yes I think we all recognize that our ownership, front office, manager, and players should be embarrassed. This is a collective failure. I am still puzzled as to why you think Marmol is the ONLY problem.
