Matz pulled after 4. I really thought he’d do better this year. I believed he prepared as well as possible for the season. I thought he had the motivation and attitude to help the team and redeem himself after very little contribution last year. I think he felt indebted to the Cards for the contract and wanted to return as much value as possible. The overriding factor, though, is you can’t squeeze blood out of a turnip.
Yeah Euro, I thought he’d be decent too. Maybe not an inning eater, but 5 or 6 with 2 runs allowed on average. His stuff can look really good a lot of the time. I just think he needs to be more aggressive with strikes.
This team seems out of synch and out of sorts.

I think the players are better than this.
