I thought he got it. It looked gone off the bat.

If you ever thought walking 3 batters in the 7th with 2 outs and a 2-run lead to bring up Acuna with the bases loaded was a good idea, you’re right. Bold strategy, but it worked like a charm. Acuna flies out to the CFer making a running catch up against the CF wall.

Braves should have pulled to within a run on the WP. The failure to do so could loom large in these last two innings.

Baserunners at the corners with no outs for ATL.

This game should be 3-2 on that WP in the 7th.

Well, that’s that. Three WC’s and one division winner participating in the LCS.

Yep. Just get in the playoffs. Have two Frontline starters and a great bullpen.

    All you need.

Braves bats went silent. I know some Braves fans feeling like they took the foot off the pedal after they clinched. Can you imagine a team doing that? Also, the presumptive MVP batted .143 in the LDS with no HRs or RBIs. That’s hard to imagine also.

Do wildcard teams have an advantage? Not as likely if the better teams kept their mental competitive edge. There’s not a toggle switch you can flip back and forth on a whim. Manager has to be accountable for that and has some influence to minimize the chances it happens. That’s why you need a strong, we’ll respected leader in that position for the postseason.

Similar to Goldschmidt batting .000 with 4 Ks in the WC series last year. And NA batting .125 with 2 Ks. NA hasn’t driven in a postseason run since 2018.

I noticed the Phillies’ uniforms, too. Bring back the pinstripes.

Yeah, especially at home. Those uniforms last night looked like those that Schmidt, Bowa and Carlton wore on the road.

You conveniently left out the fact that is over a whopping 12 PLATE APPEARANCES.

Over his career, Arenado has not been a good post-season performer. This is not news.

Well, as you just pointed out, he hasn’t been in the post season for much more than a cup of coffee, lol

It’s time for the Cardinals to quit faffing about and put a team on the field that is an actual threat to get to the WS.

I goes without saying that the paucity of post season chances exemplifies the larger problem. A highly paid untouchable big star failing to capitalize on the chances that were there is another problem.

So you want Arenado traded or is he just your target of the day?
