Nootz with the 2 run TATER!
September 2, 2022 at 9:51 pm #198790Nooty with a 2 run blow……5-0. Nooty I believe has come into his own ……this goes beyond just being a hot streak …..far beyond that.
September 2, 2022 at 9:54 pm #198791And he’s still very young …..Lars Taylor Tatsuji Nootbar turns just 25 next Thursday.
September 2, 2022 at 9:54 pm #198792Pugs…Yeah, he’s displaying some solid consistency and that tater was facing a LHP.
September 2, 2022 at 10:00 pm #198793Indeed, thank God the Yanks didn’t want Nooty in the Montgomery transaction, because he was all their’s if they have wanted him would be my guess, TD. I can’t wait to see Nooty play in ’23…….. Stratton on in relief and this fellow has pitched very well since a couple rough outings when he first came over. Maddux must have tweeked something in Stratton’s delivery.
September 2, 2022 at 10:08 pm #198794Benjamin Amadeo Deluzio walks in his first Redbird plate appearance. Amadeo looks as Italian as the real Italian Stallion himself(Sly) and that guy from the 70’s who did those “that’s a spicy a meat a balla” commercials.
September 2, 2022 at 10:12 pm #198795Eddie getting tater happy!
September 2, 2022 at 10:13 pm #198796Tommy E. goes downtown……GameCard will be dancing in the South Carolina streets on that one. 8-0 Good Guys.
September 2, 2022 at 10:15 pm #198797Eddie getting tater happy!
Beautiful line, TD! I just may steal that from you one of these days, TD.
September 2, 2022 at 10:17 pm #198798It looks as if the Cubbies are not going to give Albert anything to hit in this series.
September 2, 2022 at 10:20 pm #198799I see the Cards have added 5 runs since I had to take a break. Looks like Pugs and 1td were far too much for the cubs to handle. Haha, just noticed our boy Wayne is singing sweet music again tonight.
September 2, 2022 at 10:22 pm #198800Pugs…I’ll never turn my nose up at a helping of taters, but I’d like to see Eddie collect more doubles. He had 41 last year and is only at 24 this season. He seems pretty smart, so I don’t think he’ll fool himself into thinking he’s Adam Dunn…
September 2, 2022 at 10:24 pm #198801Welcome back, Euro!
Fitting end to an 8-0 cubbie drubbing……a fly ball to Amadeo Deluzio in center field.
September 2, 2022 at 10:27 pm #198802High water mark of 22 games above sea level. Chance to really create some distance as AZ. leads MIL. 2-1 in the 5th.
September 2, 2022 at 10:28 pm #198803Yep, he’s way off his doubles total of a year ago. But Eddie is pretty special……the way he’s going, maybe he finishes with 41 taters? What’s the record in a month? I think sweet swinging Sammy may own it …..but you have to put a little cork asterisk next to it if he does own that record.
September 2, 2022 at 10:29 pm #198804Haven’t been to a Cards’ game live since the two 2019 playoff games vs Braves at Busch. I’m starting to feel like it might be worth a go again this year.
September 2, 2022 at 10:32 pm #198805Yep, Euro. With Nooty, O’Neill, Hicks, Montgomery and Stratton putting it all together, our Cards could go deep into October. And who knows, Flaherty should have a fresh arm…….if he’s healthy, watch out LA, ATL and NYM.
September 2, 2022 at 10:35 pm #198806Dancing in the streets over Eddie and Monty’s(a Gamecock) shutout.
September 2, 2022 at 10:39 pm #198807Indeed, Montgomery from beautiful Sumter, South Carolina. You must be as proud as a peacock, GameCard…….make that as proud as a Gamecock.
September 2, 2022 at 10:40 pm #198808Final score is a laugher, but if Nado doesn’t make that pick and throw to HP to cut down the runner with no outs in the 1st, the entire flow of the game may have been a lot different. Monte now 5-0 as a Cardinal and the Redbirds are 6-0 in games he’s started. Not too bad.
September 2, 2022 at 10:44 pm #198809Going into the game our win percentage of .580 was the same as on June first. On June first we were 2 games behind
September 2, 2022 at 10:52 pm #198811Interesting, CC. This September 1st Cardinal squad looks much much better than the June 1st team.
September 2, 2022 at 10:58 pm #198812CC…Yep, I just checked and the Redbirds were 8 games above sea level for a .580 W/L pct. Mil. was 12 games above and 2 full games in 1st place. Seems like a lifetime ago.

ParticipantWell didn’t get to watch any but nice job by the boys and the posters on here bringing it home. Monty was a great pick up.bullpen did it’s job. Go cards, let’s sweep the cubs
September 2, 2022 at 11:34 pm #198817Brewers lose 2-1 so the Cardinals are 7 1/2 games in front.
