BikeMike…Me too!
August 31, 2022 at 9:01 pm #198522Helsley on to try to send it to extras. I don’t like extra innings because our pitchers always seem to give up lead off doubles. It’s uncanny how they seem to do that every time the last couple of seasons.
August 31, 2022 at 9:02 pm #198523I’m not in favor of pulling Jo Jo.
Seen to many misses by Helsley…. ending in home runs.
I hope I’m wrong
Whew…. got out of that one.
August 31, 2022 at 9:06 pm #198524If Romine would have burned us 2 games in a row, I’d have tip-toed to Georgia…
August 31, 2022 at 9:10 pm #198525They should tweak the runner on second rule to where it is the first scheduled batter who goes to second. Or the manager can instead choose to let the batter hit. So if you have a guy like Aaron Judge, you might choose to let him hit. And if you chose the hit option, the home tram has to do the same.
Okay here, left on left, I would have had Dickerson bunt.
August 31, 2022 at 9:13 pm #198526Just can’t get accustomed to the make believe, fairy tale, baserunner. Went into the kitchen to get a bowl of ice cream during the commercial break and come back into the den and at first glance think, “Alright, Eddie with the lead-off double!”
August 31, 2022 at 9:13 pm #198527Did Pallente kick Ollie’ cat? One appearance in 10 days.

ParticipantKind of a pitiful inning there for the Cardinals. Edman on second and no advance.
August 31, 2022 at 9:19 pm #198529A few years ago they never turn that 6-4-3 after Goldy takes out the 2B’man.
August 31, 2022 at 9:21 pm #198530Surprised Cincy did not try at least one bunt attempt to move the runner over.
August 31, 2022 at 9:22 pm #198531That double play was as slow as I’ve ever seen Arenado look. Maybe they just turned it so fast that it just looked that way to me.
August 31, 2022 at 9:23 pm #198532I’m not liking the Helsely Moran matchup.
No problem for Helsley though. I feel better now.

ParticipantDanny and Jim talking about why not bunt the runner over to third. Dan says guys don’t know how and I agree. Though I feel that’s more on the team and coaches than the players. It’s called practice.
August 31, 2022 at 9:26 pm #198534willie, Yadi sure made bunting look hard.
August 31, 2022 at 9:28 pm #198535Yeah, you move the runner over and you greatly increase your chance of winning. Don’t know why the Reds did not at least attempt it on the first couple of pitches. But maybe that is it – they don’t know how.
August 31, 2022 at 9:28 pm #198536Hot Rod Helsley gases the 10th. Still alive!
August 31, 2022 at 9:31 pm #198538Wow, we advance a runner. Thanks Pujols. Now O’Neill has a runner on 3B with one out.
August 31, 2022 at 9:31 pm #19853982willie…Yep, the sac-bunt seems to have vanished. The biggest sac-bunt in Cardinal history was probably of the PH variety in the form of the one laid down by Kyle Lohse in the 10th inning of game 6 of the ’11 WS.
August 31, 2022 at 9:33 pm #198540Good Albert sac moves Nado
! Sac fly next!August 31, 2022 at 9:35 pm #198541Man, so close on that hard hit grounder. Noot another walk. Molina on the hot seat now.
August 31, 2022 at 9:35 pm #198542C’mon Molina, one time.
August 31, 2022 at 9:37 pm #198543Man, that was weak by Molina.
August 31, 2022 at 9:37 pm #198544Yadier’s simply and sadly spent.
August 31, 2022 at 9:38 pm #1985451982 willie
ParticipantMolina just swinging at everything now. He never saw a strike but swung at all of them.
August 31, 2022 at 9:38 pm #198546Yadi, that was simply pathetic.
