Unlike Bike Mike I still have cable even tho’ it’s WAY overpriced. But I don’t watch games. It’s KMOX for me. I have had it with delays and even worse: frikken Brad Thompson!

The very nature of describing a game that you are WATCHING makes no sense!

I Will watch an ESPN game in the late innings as there are no Card announcers, but I watch it on DVD, using the 15 second advance between pitches and jumping past commercials.

I never get bored, something hard for me to tolerate

When Gorman gets that second strike on him, you can almost always ring him up on 3 strikes right then and there. Hopefully that’ll change soon.

We head to the bottom of the 3rd in a scoreless affair. Braves own the only 2 hits of the game…..one an infield cheapie.

Astute observation, Pugs. I’ll watch for that

I know Gorman is trying to create lift, but his back side gets low and he’s under the ball a lot. I’d assume his stats on balls down are significantly better than balls up. And then Edman has the opposite going on where he’s pounding a lot into the ground a lot and over a lot of pitches. He’s definitely at his best when he’s hitting line drives from line to line and racking up the doubles.

Cards667…Good point about Eddie. Last season he collected 41 doubles and is wayyy down with only 21 so far in ’22.

Who would have ever thought that the Angels would sweep the Jays three straight in Toronto and the Diamondbacks would do likewise to the ChiSox in Chicago this weekend?

    Yep TD & Carioca……great posts, Cards667!

I wonder if this Vaughn Grissom of Atlanta is related to Expos great Marquis Grissom in any fashion?

Pugs…Not me. That’s why not even Nolan “we’ll get it done in 6” Ryan makes foolish predictions…

Braves pitcher is working on a no hitter…He hasn’t allowed a solitary hit…Not even one…No one has touched him for single a hit!

Yeah Pugs , just looked his pitches over on Gameday. Mostly throwing fastballs in low 90s. Must have a lot of movement on it. Has a tendency to beat on an away upper zone corner. Uses another pitch splitter, cutter or curve to get 3rd strike. Probably best pitch to hit around strike 2. Cards 667 analysis of lineup was really good. Neat some small ball get things moving. No no-no!

I’m starting to get a little worried. This guy’s getting quite a few outs.

At least Gormans bat touched the ball that time around.

Even though he whiffed again, a nice AB by Gorman. And we’re still hitless thru 5 complete.

“No no-no” should be our battle cry here tonight, Wooster. We’ll get these guys yet.

Yep, at least he got his rips in and made the pitcher work for his money. That AB may come into play in an inning or two.

Nado was so deep it looked like he made that throw from the LF corner.
