Carp with the warning track blast to the deepest part of the park. Just not enough on it.

Here we go with the chance for O’Neill to break it open. Let’s go, Tyler!

A squib double and the dumb shift costs the Cards unless they get very lucky.

Thought we would go Hicks-Reyes again. Looks like Shildt will ask Reyes to get four outs.

I would have left Webb out there and let him work out of the leadoff double. After all it was Schildt doing the switch that put him on 2nd

Nice hitting by Dylan Carlson to give the Cards an insurance run. 4-2 Cards.

That was needed. I just hope DC isn’t going to be one of those HR or nothing batters.

I think I just lost Cardinal broadcasts in the middle of this game. Great.

I’ll say it now. Edman will be a 300 hitter by seasons end.

Goldy is spoiling a lot of pitches, but most of them don’t seem to be in the zone. Finally Ks on another junkball out of the zone.

I think we have the formula to make some future games a 6 inning game with GG in the 7th, Reyes in the 8th, Hicks in the 9th.

I think that this homer will jump start Carlson. And he’ll be back home Thursday.

Reyes got squeezed that last at bat, but still Ks Duvall to seal the 4-2 win!!

    3-2 on the season.

Thats a winner!! One major difference in Reyes is his ability to come back after getting behind in the count.

Reyes struck out Duvall on an 0-4 pitch.

Overall good game. Gant wavered but that inning where he got out of a bases loaded no out situation really turned him around. Gant really takes forever though. He is definitely one of those guys who would have a hard time with a pitch clock.

It’s always good to get a win!

Outfield tonight 2 for 14, HR, two runs, one RBI, five strikeouts. Hopefully the big fly gets Carlson going.

Pitching overall did its job but need the starters to go more than 4 innings.

Bullpen is already taxed 5 games into the season. You would have to imagine Reyes, Webb and Gallegos are definitely not available tomorrow.
