I didn’t think Gallegos was going to see any action tonight, Black hills. Yeah, Carlson may end up being just like Ryne Sandberg, in that both couldn’t hit a lick for the first month or so every year. Any guesses as to the over/under for Arenado’s first Redbird tater? BB – yes, he is going to left, but seems to have lost some opposite field power. Long, high fly ball.
We are winning with pitching and defense, just like the past couple of years. It isn’t a bad formula really. I would rather win ugly than lose a high scoring game. Just get the W.
Pugs my thinking is Carlson will be less Sandburg and more Dejong. A homer a week and .230 in between.
Boy, I hope not, BB. If a top 20 prospect in all the minor leagues can’t do better than that, there’s something wrong with the way they rate them. I’d expect more of a .270/.340/.460/.800 line. At least.
I hope so too cranny. But the large majority of the time .280 in the Texas League does not turn into that kind of MLB batting line.
