    This is just horrible pitching.

Oviedo needs to go back down and work on some of his Mechanics.

Back to back walks. Ridiculous. He’s either nervous or scared or both.

If Schildt can take out Flare after giving up a hit in the 7th, and only 1 before that… surely. He can take out Oviedo for walking the bases loaded.

I guess Woodford wasn’t ready, or else why did they let Oviedo pitch to Pham?

I hope that was Oviedos last start for awhile. He may discover it eventually but just doesn’t have it right now.

This seems like a marathon game in comparison to the games against the Crew.

Another one of Euro Dandy’s hit batsman loads em up with Padres once again with one out in the 4th in a 2-0 Pads ballgame.

This is hard to watch. It comes down to the starter. When your starter does this, it throws everything off. Be lucky to get out of this down 3-0

I don’t know what woodford was doing. Messes up the one thing pitchers should automatically know to do.

Woodford snoozes and costs the team another run. It’s time to start drinking two beers (or two Scotches) per inning.

Something tells me that we won’t see Mr. Oviedo starting at this level again until at least next year. Let’s not give up on the kid though.

Difference between the pitchers. Musgrove making us earn it when we get something going. Cardinal pitchers being charitable with walks and hit batters. Cmon boys… get off your a$$ and get some runs. Go Cardinals.

A Yadier double. One of the most exciting 30 seconds in baseball.

Yep, I suspect we might see Carp get a start on the mound before Oviedo cycles back around. Carp has the bat to be a pitcher, for sure.

Oneil just looked stupid swinging at a pitch 3 feet off the plate, makes it where they can walk bader, just a bad at bat, didn’t swing at any pitches in zone.

This Carpenter stuff needs to stop NOW! He is no longer a big league player! Period! It is amazing to me that we have a 170 hitter go down and we replace him with a 120 hitter! It is hard to understand! The brass we have obviously has decided that Sosa can’t do it! It is weird to me. They may be right but let’s see! They don’t mind proving every night that Carpenter can’t do it! Enough is enough!

So frustrating. Another promising start with Yadis double only to be let down with poor hitting or lack thereof.

    Top of 4

Yadi – Rifles a shot fair down the line in left…..Pham quickly retrieves it and Yadi will just barely trudge into 2nd base successfully with a leadoff double.

Carp – On 3-2 Matt swings and comes up empty on a high fast one. We better not come away with nothing again in the run department.

O’Neill – On 3-2.….boy we’ve had a bundle of 3-2 counts already tonight…..and pretty much the same ensuing result, as Tyler swings and misses for strike 3.

    Bader – Intentionally walked.

Woodford – Anyone know if Jake can stroke it? We quickly find out that answer as he goes down on strikes on 3 pitches …..and looks pretty offensively challenged doing it.

Carps best chance to get on base is not swing and hopefully he gets a walk or he bunts against the shift.

It is just so silly to keep sending him out there! We could play anyone else and the results would be better! I just don’t get it!
