As bad as Carp was, I can’t stand watching Woodford bat for himself RISP after failing to cover first.
Webb only allows one baserunner in a scoreless Padre 5th. I don’t know what we all would do if we were to actually set these guys down 1-2-3 in an inning? Time to jump all over these guys.
O’Neill more disciplined in that AB.. didn’t swing at the ball 5 inches off the plate. Ends up in a lead off single.
Shildt should have challenged the Edman DP. It looked to me like Kim never had control of the ball until after he touched 2B.

Craig Stammen on the hill for SD with Ivan Castillo making his ML debut tonight at 2nd base.
O’Neill – On 3-1 Tyler fists one into right for another leadoff Redbird hit.
Bader – Throttles a hard grounder in between short and 3rd that the diving Kim comes up with, but his throw to 1st is about a half hour late in getting Bader….infield hit.
Moroff – On 0-2 he strikes out on a curve in the dirt.
Edman – Chops it up the middle where Kim simultaneously gloves it while tapping his foot “near” the 2nd base bag and in almost the same motion he fires it to 1st to just nip the speedy Edman to retire the side.
