    Was Gomber okay? SUrprised he didn’t pitch the 5th. Only had 75 pitches. But I can’t argue with how Gallegos did.

    76 pitches was his season high, last outing. His stock rose with me and I’m already a fan of his.

    Gomber hasn’t pitched more than that this year, I don’t think. So it seems in line with the workload they have put on him so far.

    Hope things pan out so that tomorrow turns out to be one of those rare 2020 off days. The next time I visit Detroit, I want it to be for the 2021 World Series. How about Genesis “Cabby” Cabrera! I’m thinking that if he keeps progressing, next year I’ll give him the nickname “The Dominant Dominican”.

    Reyes can’t seem to control the breaking ball. Was good with the fastball the first three pitches against Braun. Nice fastball on the outside there! Down goes Braun!
