I am glad our writer did not say it because I do not agree with you. Per Statcast, Arcia's double in the ninth had an exit velo of 106.3 mph and an expected batting average (xBA) of .880. In other words, that is a hit 88 times out of 100. It was smoked. https://t.co/0fzLdlsl6N

stlcard25Participant“Our writer”…is that one of the writers for TCN?
September 27, 2020 at 8:03 pm #142305The writer would be me.

September 27, 2020 at 8:12 pm #142308The Twitter dude clearly doesn’t like Carlson, as his reference to No. 3 shows. It also wasn’t the pennant deciding play. He then called me a Koolaid drinker and said that Edmonds and McGee would have caught the ball.
Tonight, most fans are happy the team is going into the playoffs. A few, though, can’t allow themselves that pleasure so they find a pet peeve to harp on, and the outfield is, in Mo’s famous words, “low hanging fruit.” Sad, but true…
September 27, 2020 at 8:21 pm #142309The only “low hanging fruit” I’m seeing is one, Neill R. Murphy!
September 27, 2020 at 8:57 pm #142313Glad they won today and made the playoffs. Anything can happen now so good luck to them.

stlcard25ParticipantThanks for the explanation, folks.

Queuing up Nate to correct them to “slugs” in 3…2…1…

That’s not the worst thing in the world. Frozen Kool-Aidsicles were a thing back in the day. Also, baseball’s association with Mr Kool-Aid goes way back. He was a pitcher, you know. Baseball, Mr Kool-Aid, and John Fogerty are a great combo.
