Well, 4 runs is a good inning. Hope the offense keeps the pressure up and the pitching keeps putting up 0s.

Gomber reminds me a bit of Hudson. He seems to throw a lot of strikes, then suddenly can’t hit the side of a barn for 10 to 15 pitches. Kudos to him getting out of the 4th after 2 walks.
Gallegos mows them down in 11 pitches! Send him out for the 6th!
They say his velocity is back, as is his slider.
I really like the move by Shildt to get Gomber out for the fifth. The pen can finish this – and then they can all take two days off from pitching.
