jj-cf-stlParticipantatta-boy paul!
September 27, 2020 at 3:18 pm #142185
stlcard25Participant4-0 Cards on the Dejong single.
September 27, 2020 at 3:19 pm #142186Hey, who ARE these guys!
September 27, 2020 at 3:19 pm #142187DeJong gets a cheesy rbi blooper that makes up for the the robbery on his drive to CF. 4-0.
September 27, 2020 at 3:19 pm #142188It would nice for Fowler to break his 1 for 18.
September 27, 2020 at 3:23 pm #142189
stlcard25ParticipantWell, 4 runs is a good inning. Hope the offense keeps the pressure up and the pitching keeps putting up 0s.
September 27, 2020 at 3:24 pm #142190I am so grateful for that statcast link ’25. I can’t believe what you can get for free!
Er. I mean I will sign for for a subscription for the Cardinal Nation! Is there a student rate?
September 27, 2020 at 3:28 pm #142191Need a double play ball here.
September 27, 2020 at 3:29 pm #142192
stlcard25ParticipantPull Gomber now. Can’t play games when you have the lead. A single now cuts the lead in half.
September 27, 2020 at 3:32 pm #142193
jj-cf-stlParticipantOn Gombers behalf, he sat while we batted around and they made a pitching change, quite a while. Lets see how he competes.
September 27, 2020 at 3:32 pm #142194Gomber ended that K!
September 27, 2020 at 3:37 pm #142195
jj-cf-stlParticipantrun scores, 2 down, and their HR / RBI leader up. Good composure Gomber.
September 27, 2020 at 3:37 pm #142196Gomber gets out of it giving up only one run.
September 27, 2020 at 3:38 pm #142197
stlcard25ParticipantOne run is acceptable after the way that inning started.
September 27, 2020 at 3:39 pm #142198bccran
ParticipantGomber could be a notch or two above a #5 starter.
September 27, 2020 at 3:40 pm #142199That result was about the same probability as both Bader and TON getting on to lead off last inning. Destiny…
September 27, 2020 at 3:41 pm #142200Gomber reminds me a bit of Hudson. He seems to throw a lot of strikes, then suddenly can’t hit the side of a barn for 10 to 15 pitches. Kudos to him getting out of the 4th after 2 walks.
September 27, 2020 at 3:41 pm #142201
stlcard25ParticipantBader crushes one!! 5-1 Cards
September 27, 2020 at 3:41 pm #142202A “Bader Blast” … 5-1 Cards!
September 27, 2020 at 3:42 pm #142203
jj-cf-stlParticipantIn the biggest game of the season… well, 5-1 on the solo HR
September 27, 2020 at 3:43 pm #142204Long one for Bader. Like Carlson recently, he has the 2 hardest parts of the cycle.
September 27, 2020 at 3:57 pm #142206Gallegos mows them down in 11 pitches! Send him out for the 6th!
They say his velocity is back, as is his slider.
September 27, 2020 at 3:58 pm #142207I really like the move by Shildt to get Gomber out for the fifth. The pen can finish this – and then they can all take two days off from pitching.
September 27, 2020 at 4:05 pm #142208
stlcard25ParticipantAll about the Cards bullpen from here on in. Gallegos was great. Can the others put up 0s as well?
September 27, 2020 at 4:07 pm #142209I hope you like Shildt’s decision after the game. I like his decision to bring Gallegos back out again. I hope I like that decision after the 6th.
