Knizner at #6
September 17, 2018 at 11:07 pm #69690I’m still in with Knizner at # 6.
September 17, 2018 at 11:13 pm #69691Kelly at #6
September 18, 2018 at 12:33 am #69696
MrperkinsParticipantKelly at #6. Defence at a catcher trumps offense and Molina didn’t develop much offensively his first few seasons. I like Kizner but I remember being excited over Brian Anderson…I think that was his name. Kelly’s defence now could keep him in the league 10+ years.
September 18, 2018 at 4:25 am #69697Nunez at #6.
September 18, 2018 at 6:36 am #69698
stlcard25ParticipantCarson Kelly at #6. I think he and Knizner have pretty similar ceilings, with Andrew maybe a touch better. But Kelly is a year ahead, so he gets the nod IMO.

Participant#6. Knizner
September 18, 2018 at 7:51 am #69709PadsFS
ParticipantTop 5 for reference:
#1 – Alex Reyes, RHP
#2 – Dakota Hudson, RHP
#3 – Tyler O’Neill, OF
#4 – Nolan Gorman, 3B
#5 – Elehuris Montero, 3BSeptember 18, 2018 at 7:53 am #69711PadsFS
ParticipantTyler O’Neill walked again as a pinch-hitter yesterday, which is good developmentally, as he has a 5-1 K-BB ratio.
September 18, 2018 at 8:12 am #69713Knizner at #6 for me.
September 18, 2018 at 8:20 am #69714#6 Andrew Knizner. I honestly don’t know how to rate catcher defense. Probably because it’s hard to produce quantifiable statistics. Having said that it’s a pick’em with Knizner and Kelly for me. Knizner has hit everywhere he’s been and between that and probably some prospect fatigue with Kelly I’ll go Knizner. It will be interesting to see what the organization does at catcher. Do they use one as trade bait or put Kelly on the bench behind Molina. Either way another year in AA for Knizner would seem like a real disservice to his development.
September 18, 2018 at 9:57 am #69729#6 Knizner
I don’t know that his defense is too far behind Kelly but his offense looks enough better to edge out Kelly.

September 18, 2018 at 11:02 am #69741Kelly @ 6
September 18, 2018 at 11:03 am #69742Knizner #6.What the hell does he have to do to get voted on here? I like Montero too but Montero is still 2/3 years away from Stlouis and Knizner has hit every level and is working on his defense at a more demanding position .I understand people being dazzled by Montero`s numbers but Knizner can hit also.To each his own.
I like Kelly also but I wont vote for him because I dont consider him eligible. My opinion.Same reason I didnt vote for ONeill and I am a big O`Neill backer.September 18, 2018 at 2:46 pm #69761UncleDenny
ParticipantKnizner will not be a factor in St. Louis until Molina retires end of 2020 if then and Montero appears to have more upside.
September 18, 2018 at 3:53 pm #69762I’m only going to do this once. Bw was so adamant and convincing in his reasoning for why Knizer should be our #6 Top Prospect. And when Bw sprinkled in that 4 letter naughty word, he left me no choice but to switch my pick this round to Knizer.
P.S. A special tip of the cap to RememberDiz for going with Nunez at #6. I’ll be joining you in Round 7, RD (RememberDiz)!

ParticipantWaiting on Vegas, Pads, Cobb, DJ, Desme and anyone else that wants to join in.
September 18, 2018 at 4:41 pm #69771Just letting off some steam.please do vote for who you feel. That
s the purpose of this voting process.I really like Montero and his potential but I think Knizners offense and average defense might be in play by next season sometime.Carson Kelly needs to play also………giving him mop-up innings isn`t doing anything.Montero will be challenged in palm Beach next season and I will be interested to see how he fares starting a season there. He did well in his month there so hoping he can continue to develop at 3B.September 18, 2018 at 6:27 pm #69780Kelly at #6
September 18, 2018 at 7:12 pm #69786Kelly at 6
I like defense first for catching which gives him the tiebreaker over Knizner for me. Bat could still develop later as it did with Yadi.
September 18, 2018 at 9:44 pm #69870Not to get off topic, but what a productive night for the heart of the Memphis lineup…Mejia/Arozarena/L.Thomas: 11-14 with 12 RBIs. That’ll work.
September 19, 2018 at 8:10 am #69894Knizner at #6 for me.
