Lol! It’s a miracle!
Watch Matheny trot him out in some high leverage situation and have him get lit up. I still don’t trust him.
Course he walked the next guy. Tying run is on and it’s time for Austin to buckle down, Weaver style.
Pop up and a single and now Hoskins is up. Dangerous hitter here, even though he’s not been nearly as good this year as last.
We’ve gotten some timely hits the last two games. It’d be a shame to lose both. Hicks staying in for the 9th, and he gets the first batter out.
I had forgotten than Norris pitched the previous two games. Hick with the save, though, looking good in the 9th.
This time, the Cards come out on top, 7-6, due to Matt Carpenter’s ninth inning solo home run. St. Louis ties the series at 1-1 and moved to 38-33 on the season.
Pretty gutsy win. Very fun to watch and a little payback for not getting the win last night.

Go figure that Hicks and Gomber would be the ones to make it tighter and give up the runs after their recent strong play. But that’s baseball
Day game tomorrow should be fun. Especially with the World Cup matches tomorrow being boring

I know one fellow who will sleep like a baby tonight……Gregory Scott Holland. Let’s hope Greg will put that quality rest to good use and utilize this nice outing as a springboard for good things to come. Sometimes that’s all it takes….that one good outing. Plenty of game balls to toss around after this nice win…..
